I once had to work under an older Amber Guyger type, and it became a nightmare. She was good looking in her heyday, and she kept a lot of her shape during her middle age, being ex-military. But she began to age, and her body started to fade to the point she couldn't get a younger guy to find her sexually attractive anymore. That was the exact same time they transferred her to my building, and made her my supervisor, putting her next in rank above me. She was that quiet office girl, but demon after work type. I remember once in the office, we accidentally touched hands, but her hand fell on mine, and she rested her hand on mine like she couldn't move it, as though she couldn't help it. It was like she was letting off a load. Then she snapped out of it. I pretended none of this never happened.
I remember how they gave her so much power over the Black men on my level and under me, that she couldn't handle it. She was acting as though management gave her a million dollars, and she got so excited she didn't know what to do with. Those other brothers under her would jump to every thing she said, even if it wasn't job related. I was the only brother not going for that, however she did get off one or two cheap shots. I can only imagine how she would have handle this if she was 30. From what I heard, she was already a case back then.
Since Amber Guyber is still young, and still looks good for a cop, I really believe Botham Jean saw her and showed he was a little interested, then backed off when he found out she was a cop. She probably also found out he was educated, and making more money than she was, plus he had White friends. Since she was just a side-piece to Rivera, Jean would have been the perfect man to get down with after work, when Rivera was with his wife. Being right below Jean, she made have even heard him tapping a White girl. But Botham wasn't interested in her regardless of her looks, and she got more and more frustrated, with him living directly above her. These kind of White women eventually look for excuses to hurt Black men in Bothan Jeans shoes. My experience with my old White female supervisor, who eventually costed me my job, showed me just how cocky these White women can get when they feel they have authority over Black men, and feel their White men will support them no matter what. And don't believe the death of Trayvon Martin, Eric Garner, and all the others, didn't play a heavy role in her deciding to shoot Botham Jean, then use the "I was scared for my life defense", especially after watching White policemen get away with it. Or in this case, "I thought it was my apartment", which sounded well rehearsed, so rehearsed that this trained policewomen couldn't give any assistance to a dying man she just knowingly shot by mistake...which was probably on purpose.
