I'm not disagreeing but what makes this unfortunate in your opinion?
I’ll interject by saying that instead of addressing the issues the workers have, Amazon will just choose the path of least resistance by hiring people willing to accept the workplace conditions and policies lamented by the existing personnel.

Good for those workers...I used to work at a Amazon warehouse so I can definitely relate to them.

Health is more important than money....fukk you think it's smart to risk your life slaving for $15-17 when the building is contaminated with the virus?

They should be getting paid alot more..the workers always get the sharp end of the stick.

From what I've read, they're asking for the company to convert the jet-engine factory jobs they work into factory jobs for ventilator production. The article is sloppy though, it seems they just want to perform these jobs instead of having the company hire new workers. ?

That's GE engineers not Amazon. I don't think the warehouse workers qualify to produce ventilators.

I wish them luck in their quest. I've heard some really disturbing things about working for amazon, but I don't personally know. I do however have a relative that works for them and they do have a policy in which they have waived all attendance infractions as long as you report being out each day on their app.

Of course you don't get paid for it, but they aren't technically forcing their workers to come to work either.

I am curious is if this is a strike or a protest, because to my understanding they aren't union.

I really don't get it.
Especially considering how the majority of people posting here are more closer to poverty and homelessness if shyt really hit the fan than billionaire opulence and wealth.

Why cape for people who view us as just statistics in their bottom line and our lives as expendable?

Look at this thread compared to the mexicans/crip thread. TLR is all about black Power in that thread. In this thread where innocent black people are risking their lives, they don't care, not black unity or power talk here.

Seems like amazon has a policy of not slowing down or slowing down on safety issues . Amazon just doesn't care about anything except market domination and profits
Dude is gonna get fired disclosing what amazon is fulfilling. he makes great points, but man when the reporter asked that question he should have not answered the baited part.
