Our company is saving thousands a month on office supplies, so they're in no rush to bring people back
I hope the Amazon employees just start stealing pens and printer paper and shyt. Breaking office chairs and coughing on the execs.
this policy automatically increases the rate of cold/flu contractions among employees. traffic accidents, deaths to and from work., sexual harassment complaints. returning to the office when people have already proven they could do the job remotely is a unhinged policy. they singlehandedly added hundreds of hours to peoples annual commute, could have used that time productively than sitting in traffic or waiting for the bus/train 
100% - but team leaders need to review KPIs - look at the numbers and make a real choice based on the performance.

id argue even if that weren't the case amazon and others would still try and get people to rto. All these shareholders are buddy buddy with city officials and the lack of foot traffic is affecting the amount of money they pull in from taxes and whatnot. WFH is fukking up their moneyYeah the problem is the dumbasses who abuse privileges then ruin it for everyone.
When WFH started there were a lot of dummies on the Coli bragging about mouse movers and all that, thinking companies aren’t going to realize you made yourself expendable.

But you're smart enough to know this ain't how it works out here. Wonder would folks give up some pay since you don't have to buy lunch, catch public transportation, pay for gas, car maintenance from all the driving, etc. if they allowed them to WFH. These companies are that greedy to the point I can see them trying minimize starting salaries while calculating that. I had to drop a GS pay grade to get back on but I negotiated a 4/10 schedule with wk 1 Friday/wk 2 Monday off, 8 hrs leave per pay period, extra sick leave + 10 extra days of PTO per yr due to being a DV

If I had to choose between remote forever or back to office id go back to the office.
