The only one of those movies actually in production features Batman.DC has movies for Suicide Squad, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, The Flash, Shazam, Green Latern, & Cyborg all scheduled ...
No?
About the same and I've heard complaints about him being oversaturated too. You're saying he gets more play than wolverine?
Why we acting like those are definitely coming out? When really they can be cancelled at any moment. You have to spend the money and release it to say you did it, right? Or am I buggin'?
The Wonder Woman movie is in production. The only one of those movies actually in production features Batman.
Man I felt the same way OP especially when Batman V Superman got announced then I saw the trailers and the direction they're taking with him and now I'm like fukk it lets go
Catwoman is DC right? They did her before Wonderwoman? What was that about? When Superman was getting shine he was basically the only one of DC's characters getting movies made and then Batman got his time to shine where he was basically the only one getting movies made. Its not like pre-2008 that anyone was making interconnected super-hero movie universes and giving everyone who had a cape a movie.
So there was never a time when the movie studios were looking to make an over abundance of super hero movies like there is now and factor in that Wonder Woman is a female character, and most movie studio still get shaky at the idea of releasing action movies with female leads, it should not be so confusing why she didn't get a movie till now.
The future is unpredictable.

A Wonder Woman film was reported as being in development as far back as 1996, with Ivan Reitman attached as producer and possible director.[57]In October 1999 it was revealed that Jon Cohen was adapting Wonder Woman for producer Joel Silver and Warner Bros, who were reportedly wooing Sandra Bullock to star.[58] In January 2001, Silver approached Todd Alcott to write a Wonder Woman screenplay, with Silver Pictures backing the project.[59] Early gossip linked actresses such as Angelina Jolie, Beyoncé Knowles, Bullock, Rachel Bilson, Nadia Bjorlin, Megan Fox, Eliza Dushku and Catherine Zeta-Jones to the role of Wonder Woman.[60]Leonard Goldberg, speaking in a May 2001 interview, named Bullock as a strong candidate for the project.[61] Bullock claimed that she was approached for the role, while wrestler Chyna expressed interest. Turning down the part in the past, Lucy Lawless indicated that she would have been more interested if Wonder Woman was portrayed as a "flawed hero."[62] The screenplay then went through various drafts written by Alcott, Jon Cohen, Becky Johnston, and Philip Levens.[63] By August 2003, Levens was replaced by screenwriter Laeta Kalogridis.[64]
shyt you can make a case Marvel wouldn't have done as many B and C-listers if they had the rights to Spider-man and X-men. The top sellers are over exposed because the people fukk with them that hard.
Hmmm . . . that's fukkin' interesting. Seems Wonderwoman has been planned since 1996 and still never made it to screen but some want to act like DC's current super hero slate is all but a forgone conclusion for it being released. The future is unpredictable. After this, they had Joss Whedon working on Wonder Woman for the longest but they eventually moved on after they had creative differences plus catwoman bombed and elektra bombed and aeon flux bombed. The feeling around that time was female superhero comic book movies don't work because as we all know, hollywood is superstitious and stupid at times so rather than looking at why something didn't work, they just say "well, that didn't work therefore anything similar will suffer the same fate"
Most of this stuff is in a pre marvel studios world where studios weren't always sure what to do with their superhero properties

Still all that doesn't explain why Catwoman came before Wonderwoman.
Yep. We agree. Let's not count them until they actually exist no matter how likely they seem in the moment.Halle berry that's why lol. They were working on a cat woman movie since 92 after batman returns but it didn't pan out with her so they kept it on he shelf and Halle wanted to do it so they reshaped it around her.
And here's the thing breh: none of these movies are foregone conclusions or were before they existed. Iron man was a huge gamble that paid off. But the feeling is now there's an appetite for the stuff that Warners was hesitant about decades ago and very supertitous about. It's not the 90s anymore or early 2000s when the studios weren't quite sure of what they had and how to do it.
I think the reason most cats act like the Wonder Woman movie is more of a go than not is because it's starting production soon it's already in pre production with a director and a finished script and assembling a cast. And since Wonder Woman is definitely in batman v superman, they're not going to waste the opportunity. There's too much at stake. Plus they want to be able to say they were first out of the gate with a female centric superhero flick
