Both are honestly equally ridiculous but the thing is Batman is routinely defeated by much weaker characters than Superman. It makes no sense to go from having your back broken by Bane, who doesn't even have superpowers, to defeating a guy who's heat vision is hotter than the sun.
why? is it in the rules or something?
batman has been around for 75 years now. do you have any idea how many different variations on the character there have been? do they all need to play by the same set of the rules?
none of these stories are connected, none of them are canon. they're just stories. sometimes the story requires batman to be all powerful and sometimes they don't.
and yes this also means that batman functions differently as a character depending on whether he's a solo act or as a member of the justice league.
