celebrated in todays music?? Yes I know weed and liquor popping have been promoted in Hip Hop for ages (Although personally I was never into alcohol or drugs). But this new fascination with popping pills and drinking lean in the hood, within the last few years, just doesn't sit right with me. Especially now since I see how those said drugs have effected these kids (and even adults) out here in the streets. Seeing 16 year old kids nodding off on the block is a sad sight to see. They're not even about getting money no more. They're just content with being high all day. Nowadays, you can hardly tell the difference between them and the regular feen on the block. I'm not saying we should censor rappers from talking about it because it is happening. My thing is it's a sad sight to see because its destroying a lot of our kids lives out here. We are in a new era where the "Hustler" has become the "Customer".

When G Rap was talking about capsule, he was most likely talking about selling it as oppose to using it. Which all goes back to my point on how in this new era the hustler has turned into the customer.

True. Instances of kids being strung out isn't a new thing. What I'm trying to get at is how being strung out has been the latest popular trend in the hood. Nowadays, its generally accepted as the cool or in thing to do. Back in the day, you had some kids partaking but if it was anything other then weed, you was mostly frowned upon and looked at as bugged out (atleast up here it was).

I wuz wondering why rappers still rap about ki's and bricks when the pill man is the most prevelant nikka far as the drug game nowadays in most hoods.....just for realism purposes if u gon be a rapper fake sellin drugs at least sell what's actually bein sold and done the most now by nikkas.


But you can't really judge this or call it a epedimic just bcuz u don't like the drug that's bein done,what makes it different from extacy which could kill you,its not harmless but it ain't PCP either....hopefully they'll grow out of it or grow up and be too broke to afford it and then grow out of it by goin cold turkey.
