Am I buggin' in thinking that the Raptors are legit this season?

We've been waiting for the Bulls to figure it out for the last half a decade. There's serious personnel issues with that team. The Raptors don't have half the problems that Chicago does.
That's why they have Lowry.
Val has already seen an increase in minutes and touches this season. It's still too early to see if this will last, but I don't see why they'd start limiting his minutes and role on this team. He's their biggest frontcourt threat, it's in their best interests to keep him in the fold. Pau's on his last legs (I can't see him having any noticeable impact seven months from now), so is Noah and all they really have left is Niko. The Raptors have a better defense and more talented role players. This is all without mentioning the Bulls #1 ballhandler/creator's health and ability is still up in the air. If Rose isn't able to play at a high level in the playoffs, who's going to generate offense for them?

There feeding him..he's scoring...if he remains a consistent 3rd option and doesn't revert back to an indecisive oaf I have no reason to say he sucks handegg...

I have no faith in them featuring Val in the playoffs, when things get tight I think they'll just revert to doing the same ole shyt and using him strictly as a garbage man. Pau is coming off Fiba play where he looked incredible, I think he'll round back into shape offensively around December, he's done defensively but the offense is still there. Butler can create well enough with offense from Pau to offset Lowry & Demar IMO, it really would depend on whether or not they get Jonas involved and I have a hard time believing they would.
I also like the prospect of them giving Portis minutes, I think he should be a part of their rotation right now.
The Bulls have no business being in the conversation at all, at this point. There's still a lot of question marks over that team. Cavs are a given. They have more potential than the Wizards and Hawks. Miami at this stage, and what they're capable of - they're pretty much dead even IMO. The Heat have potential problems too.

I'm basing it off the makeup of their squad and their offensive/defensive potential. Bulls are not better at the moment. Don't be silly.
