Why do yall Hawks stans continue to call out other posters' intellect when you can't even use basic grammar/spelling?

For your information, yes they have played teams that are projected for the playoffs, but all that doesn't matter because they've only played FOUR games.

Nothing wrong with liking this TOR team, they are looking great and it's not flukish like last year either. Now being better than the Hawks is some non-sense but I will say, they are playing better basketball than us right now but we are playing poorly at the moment. I mean really, we haven't put together one good game yet but we are looking much more talented and more skilled than last year. We are making too many stupid mistakes and turnovers. Our ast% isn't that high but it's been getting better in NOV. Thabo and Korver haven't put together a quality game yet and are still getting under their legs. Once we get it together, I expect nothing less than 60 plus wins. Horford looks great this year. His improvement has been ample and I love the fact that he's making quick decisions in the post.

The comment about Lowry's weight was just me trying to be humorous - obviously I failed in that attempt. I trust Lowry and DeRozan. I think they can be top 5 in their respective positions. Despite it in being the general arbitrary number of how we rank players, I know that they're other people out there that think Lowry is going to have a career-best season (cutting the weight and exorcising demons from the first round last season). By me saying they're "top 5" is saying they should have a case for that this season, especially Lowry. Dude is on a mission.

If we're talking purely from an Eastern Conference standpoint - yes I believe they will eventually be title contenders. They certainly will not get punked by any team like they did last season in the playoffs.

DMC was worth every penny. He changed their outlook. Teague is better than Lowry tho. I been thinking they could be legit. I just wanted to see how effective DMC will be and how he will be used. They change their whole style to fit the way DMC skill-set is. I've never seen a team change their system to fit a role player but it's working. Lowry seems comfortable and DeRozan is much better when the ball moves. Their frontcourt is weak outside of Carroll but their backcourt is really doing it big. The bench seems more consistent, not as good as last year when it peaked but more consistently effective. I like this TOR team. Them, DET and CHA really improved this off-season.

They haven't changed their style to fit a role player. They've just incorporated more ball movement into their offense, and with him being the #1 3-pt threat in the starting lineup, he's been getting most of those reps in the first three games. His shot attempts came crashing back down to earth in the fourth game. I highly doubt he'll average 14-15 shots across the entire season, as they're still trying to figure out things on that side of the ball. They actually have a lot of depth in their frontcourt, no one is a standout but they have a good mix of inside scorers and jumpshooters - definitely not weak in that department.

By me saying "eventually", I just mean they're title contenders right now, because they haven't proven to be as of yet and we're only four games into the season. Just that down the track [of this season], I believe they'll be once we get into the buisness end of the season.

Well to me they're legit because for starters they fixed their biggest glaring weakness from last season, which was their defense. Not only did they fix it, they actually added pieces that have them looking like one of the best defense in the Eastern Conference already. Despite Lowry choking in the first round, they had a one of the best offenses too, which will be better this season due to him playing with a chip on his shoulder. They're legit to me because they have all the pieces (are these pieces better than what Cleveland have in place - no): top 10 offense, top 10 defense, one of the best backcourts in the league/two 20+ able scorers who can carry them in the clutch.

This is the team's best shot at making a noise in the playoffs, in their franchise's history.

By no means am I saying they have a great frontcourt - this team is powered by its backcourt. Yet they have stable scoring in that department, more than enough to keep defenses honest down low and on the perimeter. It's certainly wouldn't what I call a weak point, just that it isn't as strong as other teams'.
