You really think Rose will continue to play this badly? That Hoiberg will continue to play our entire bench for stretches? That Dunleavy won't thrive in this offense? That we will remain ranked near last in defense and offense? Raps are still at the core the same team with the same coach. Lowry is not a star. Dorozan game does not translate to winning basketball. Complete definition of an empty stats guy. Carroll will help out defensively, but I don't think he alone will take them over the hump

Who knows how he'll play or if he'll be healthy for the playoffs. I mean that's half the reason why this Raptors team is better, because they have a more stable outlook. The Bulls have to deal with the status of Rose, Gasol and Noah, seven months from now.
All I gotta say is, just watch this team. You'll soon change your mind.

Disclaimer - This isn't me saying they're going to win the championship nor will I be reliable if Lowry [his fat ass] puts the weight back on.
Despite having one of the best offenses (4th) last season, their growth was stunted by having one of the worst defenses (25th). With the addition of DMC, Biyombo and Joseph to a defensive unit already on the upswing, I see no reason why they can't have a top 10 defense to match an offense that'll likely be better than last season: faster pace, fluid ball movement (less dependence on ISOs - no more Lou), a focused and slimmed-down top 5* PG, a top 5* SG, a competent 3-pt shooting SF and diverse frontcourt scoring.
I see no reason why this team doesn't have the potential to be the second best team in the East.

The Bulls have no business being in the conversation of the best teams in the East at this point in time. I could say that before last night, because Rose's health and play was an unknown quantity before the Hornets game, Noah and Gasol are both on their last legs and there's still issues with the second lineup. Not to mention a rookie coach. That's not me saying they can't enter the conversation, if Rose regains his feet and Noah/Gasol can prove they still have some fight left in them.Problem is, you couldnt say that before last night

I have not talked about Deron since 2012, 2013 - where he was still showing he could produce at a good rate but was inconsistent because he was dealing with a number of injuries. That really doesn't matter now since the majority of PGs have surpassed him, a while ago.

Naw. Seen it all before. I know how their story ends. Start off hot. They will cool off. Carroll will be rotationg off his man helping however's blowing by Lowry/Demar. Casey will sit on his ass while Demar is constantly doing nothing but jacking up mid range bricks. Jonas, despite being producing the most amount of wins and the team being 1.5 posessions better when hes on the floor, will be ignored or out the game because hes in foul trouble. Lowry will pout and send cryptic shots Casey in post game interviews. They will flame out in the playoffs and we will be talking about next year
No you haven't seen it all before, because this team is different. They've now got the defense, which has been the main issue with their squad over the last few seasons.
Lowry is one of the better PG defenders in the league. Saying that Lowry needs help when his matchup blows by him tells me you don't know his game at all.
The problem with these half truths, is that you could do the same for 99% of teams in the league. I could give you a bad outlook for the Heat, Hawks, Bulls and Pistons just the same - if not more. You're using old narratives that don't fit with this team. As I said just watch them and if you're open-minded and willing to view them with some common sense, you'll change your tune.

It would pay for you to actually read what I post, rather than funneling through your own reasoning on what I mean. I NEVER once stated or alluded to them being the favorites in the East. With the Cavs obviously being #1, there's a good chance the Raptors can stake their claim as the second best team.
Your analysis of Valanciunas is completely wrong here....reason he was benched at the end of games has to do with his defense being terrible as proven by adv stats across the board.....despite his offense this year his D at best still very mediocre...
