All of these are software solutions that haven't been set yet. They can change at any moment even after release. They probably have patents to file, contracts to sign, agreements to make, etc. before giving the full details.
The only difference is that Sony didn't get duped in to talking about it before they were ready. They had clear conscise answers that were vague enough that they can still work it all out on their own time.
This is a PR problem for Xbox for sure, but I don't think the user expierince will be much different between the consoles.
Bottomline, they should've shut their mouths. Phil obviously leaked some shyt that he shouldn't have and left MS in a fukked up spot. My point is that for them to still even consider this shyt is insane. Fallin on the sword for EA is assinine just for some DLC and Ultimate Team nonsense the vast majority don't give 2 fukks about.
You Will Be Able To Trade Xbox One Games Online, Microsoft Says [Update]
"But what if you want to bring a game disc to a friend's house and play there? You'll have to pay a fee—and not just some sort of activation fee, but the actual price of that game—in order to use a game's code on a friend's account. Think of it like a new game, Harrison said.
"The bits that are on that disc, you can give it to your friend and they can install it on an Xbox One," he said. "They would then have to purchase the right to play that game through Xbox Live."
"They would be paying the same price we paid, or less?" we asked.
"Let’s assume it’s a new game, so the answer is yes, it will be the same price," Harrison said.
ALL HE HAD TO DO WAS SAY WE HAVEN'T DECIDED YET. He obviously leaked some shyt he shouldn't have.
No need to be plea coppin for MS. Diarhea of the mouth was their fault.
