Just finished the first season. shyt was pretty fukkn dope IMO. Loved the sci-fi/mystery shyt going on.

I thought it was really well produced. Nothing lagged. I'd be really interested to know more about the backstory of what caused the envoy vs protectorate beef. I love shyt that talks about the expansion of humans and the continued ills of society spreading to other planets (mass effect, halo, etc.)

Re the Envoys
They showed that the creator of the Stack technology formed the Envoys once she realized that Stacks would be used to create a permanent class of ultra rich "Meths" that would rule the world forever as immortals. She was trying to infect all stacks with a virus that gave everyone just a 100 year lifespan limit.

Oh nah nah I get that. I meant like I'd like to see it created and played out on screen. I think that could make for some cool world building.

Plus they never explained The Elders and how humans reengineered there technology.

I imagine the backstory is something like Mass Effect.
That's exactly how I looked at it too. I thought it was weird the way they called mortal humans "The Elders" like we were some other type of species. It's a term of reverence, but distance.

Maybe I misunderstood, but I thought they said The Elders looked like angels.

I don’t understand, if the little disc contains your personality what happens to the personality of the body?

Altered Carbon in anime better look like Ghost in the Shell + Piff or else.

I'd rather see both in live action than anime. I hope they're not planning to replace the live-action with anime. That would suck :scusthov:
I could easily see the anime being better than the live action show

Depending on who they get to animate it, an anime could blow a live action show out of the water. And you can still hire the hollywood actors for the voice work.

I'm glad they're going in on this show, though, so I'm good with whatever I get.
