this nikka is a 37 year old first ballot HOF'er. why are u suprised that he's not chomping at the bit to play in the d-league???
he's made at least $100M, u think he gonna bust his ass in some shytty small market like antoine walker all?
He's also been a cancer to every team he's been on, caused enough drama that GM's are sick of his bullshyt & baggage, and more importantly this era of bball is a lot different than when he started out.
Oh yea, and he also lost that $100 million and has a monster gambling problem that has gotten him pretty much banned from AC and many casinos in the Detroit area.
Why not go to China?
He already flunked out of Turkey. He wouldn't last 2 weeks in China.
He's a decade older than JR Smith and 5 years older than Crawford. And as I mentioned, GM's have been sick of his bullshyt. The players of today thankfully don't have the same mindset as the ones that came up from 96-02.

Always loved Iverson but man he's an idiot. This same D-League team just picked up Delonte West and Rashard McCants and has a great track record of getting guys back into the league. All he had to do was show up for 10 days and he'd get a look from somebody.

A 37 year old Iverson can help some teams.
He is one of those naturally gifted guys that can run up and down the court full blast until he's 40..
I'm sure he can still give you 13 points and 2 assists in 20 minutes of play easily..

Allen Iverson was easily my favorite player but this is why the nikka is out of the league. Still doesn't know how to swallow his pride. Very much like when he wouldn't come off the bench. Dude could have easily extended his career but chose not.
Didn't he just see Mike James go to the Mavs D-League team, then get a 10 day contract, then get a full year contract???
This was probably his last straw. He really think a team is going to sign him to their rosters and take up someone else's spot with out seeing him play some games in the D-league?
Damn, The Texas legends play like 10mins away from my house so it would have been dope to see him play a few more times. but fukk it, if the nikka really think he too good for the D-league he don't deserve anymore shots..

I saw a Texas Legends game where Mike James was bricking shots left and right, turning the ball, looking as
as ever and guess what? He got called up in no time. Even if A.I. could do what you think he can, who would call him up off the couch? He has to get himself in basketball shape to get anything out of him. Nobody's gonna take his word for it. A 37 year old A.I. could sadly start for my team. It doesn't mean they should just sit in their offices thinking "man, let's call A.I. He can give us 13 a night right now"This is all pride not letting him get to this point. Until he swallows his pride, I'll be waiting for his Hall of Fame speech 2 years from now.
