Honestly, to me these stories are never really about the person. It's about government/corporate action. I could give a damn about Bundy, in fact fukk his life. I just wish us black had the balls (and resources) to stand up to government the way these cacs do. We have a lot to be just as pissed about. And outside the confines of race, AMERICANS in general should be taking notes from these cacs.

There's something to be learned from ANY situation.

I'll sum it up by saying the threat of our corporately sponsored government trumps that of dirtbag cacs like Bundy IMO.

The mindset of Clive Bundy is the mindset that informs oppressive government policies of which black people have historically had to bear the brunt of, as well as the political capital for it. That's what I think is missing in your assessment. I think too often people with similar views as you look at the government as this alien agency whose function is disconnected from certain constituencies. That's not the case, and a look at the history of dual legal systems with regard to race in America makes that self-evident. The House of Representatives is full of Clive Bundys.

I find it so hard to believe that people can just end the argument with "He lost in court." Black men often lose in court. Is that justice? There are much, much bigger socioeconomic forces at play here. For example:

1. The bias of an industrial economy against his lifestyle;
2 The purposeful, slow eradication of all ranchers in his county by the administrative state;
3. The fact that people like Cliven Bundy are essentially the face of poverty in the U.S. (as opposed to urban blacks).

Like, I legitimately disagree with you on a LOT of shyt, but I have to agree with you on this. Saying that the law is against Bundy and dropping the matter is beyond reductive.

This is why I hate liberals. They claim to be for poor rural cultures abroad, but when they're confronted with the face of poor, rural cultures in their own country, it DISGUSTS them.

This is a mess, and a classic example of just making sht up as you go along (conservative trait if there ever was one). This problem started over 20 years ago when Bundy decided that the federal government has no authority over "his land" (citation needed mr. bundy), and he shouldnt have to recognize them....such claims arent exactly typical of the injustices faced by blacks, where we demand to operate our affairs above the law, and above others. The fact that Bundy is a complete liar, has lost decades worth of cases, and the BLS agency predating his claim of "grazing rights" of course isnt germane to your lame ass neo-confederacy battle cries.

How you pivot to an argument of "poor rural culture", when we're talking about self-aggrandizing a$$hole leaching off his parents 160 acre ranch is beyond me. Bundy is now the face of poverty and liberal oppression of such? Have you gone mad? Whats next, liberals protesting Walmart is an example of our attack on the family business?

The very reason why the laws are so unfairly biased against black people are because most of the people in the history of this country share Clive Bundy's views as it pertains to them. You can't reasonably expect black Americans to give a fukk about this guy. And you're smart enough to know the binary create a scenario where you substitute a black person for a white person and pretend there's equal contextualization is not a good argument.

We dont even have to reach back 40-50 years to examples entangled in the black power movement, to reveal how easily conservative america dispatches unambiguous positions of white supremacy. There are impossible to avoid examples in the last couple of years:

Statistical data exposed that Stop and Frisk resulted in blatant constitutional violations of NY citizens as ruled by the district court. Problem for conservatives was that these citizens whom were violated werent white. Not only did conservatives show a disinterest in American constitutional rights --- they argued that the constitution was IRRELEVANT to the policy, and that some murky notion of "safety" should supersede all.

Early in the trayvon saga, sharp commentators fenced in the events as a violation of Trayvon's constitutional rights: Travyon was a free citizen, gunned down, with government agency deciding unilaterally that the killing was not fit for trial, rather than opening justice to its citizens and a jury of its peers. Again, conservatives uniformly argued on behalf of government over "liberty".

I dont even have to delve into the abstract conceptualizations conservatives dispatch to enshrine and enforce white supremacy, which is woven into the fabric of the ideology and the country at large. Cant a week go by without conservatives making some sort of causal link to welfare and plantations, and this underpinning that "black culture" is the root cause for negative inner city outcomes, which of course exist independent of 400 years of abusive legislation, policy, and decontextualization from the social contract of which blacks have been privileged to experience.
