Three episodes of a shootout tied to one single moment. Has the story advanced? Has anything of significance happened to move the characters forward? Have we seen anything that reflects how serious the stakes are?

Nah. We just got more guns and forced “meaningful” deaths involving characters no one gives a fukk about.

Just because people complain doesn’t mean they don’t love the show. If anything, it shows how much they care.

I and others have brought this up in the thread before. The only explanation would be that the whole last season took place within the span of less than two months.

Less..The whole of S7 took place over less than a month.

The first episode of Negan killing Glenn till when Negan went to Alexandria was less than a week, Carl goes to Hilltop and sneaks back with the saviours where Negan brings him back to Alexandria that same day, then the group head straight to Hilltop In the mid season finale. This literally can't be more then 2 weeks.

Jesus takes the Group from Hilltop to meet Zeke, then they get back find Gabe missing and find him with the trash people, who need guns that Rick gets for them from the school and Oceanside. During this Sasha gets captured. She's there for a couple days max till Negan brings her back leading to the Season Finale.

Season 6 was constructed kinda the same and there can't be much time between season 7 and 8 so she's probably only around 2-3 months pregnant.

Edit: Oh wait, this all made sense..then I just remembered there was like a 2 month time jump between Alexandria being defended from the herd and then meeting Jesus..she's like 5 months at least

Seeing Morales come back was dope, it was cool to see a living character who strayed off randomly come back many seasons later. I do think he had too little screen time though, he only got like 10 minutes of screen time before he got killed

aaron's boyfriend and francine were the notable characters killed so far this season, and they are damn near background characters themselves. also, I wanna see what negan/dwight/simon are up to. not just random saviors. hell, I'd settle for seeing gavin. at least we know who he is.
