this doesn't even make sense. look at how rick approached every conflict before glenn and abe got brained. that's why daryl is moving the way he does. now you decide to fight back and you're LESS violent??

they're trying to set up rick's character for a critical decision at the end of All Out War. but they're telegraphing it. and it's extra trash on the writing side because they've tied jesus into the same decision. that's why he's acting like an idiot now, even though he was a lookout during the murder mission and CHOSE to go into the station to murder people.
now everyone deserves a chance.
All Out War is literally nothing but bullets and blood and a man with a barbed baseball bat and brain-eating zombies. somehow they're still fukking it up.

they don't want to pass the comic books until they absolutely have to. it's blatantly obvious now. All Out War should have been ENDING by the halfway mark of this season, queueing up a moment that's already been teased in the first episode next year, then jumping headfirst into Whisperers territory. you only need another 10-14 episodes to handle the Whisperers and all the fukkery that brings, which would bring us right up to the same timeline of the books.
but nah. we get a three episode gunfight instead.
that's why negan doesn't work now either. they're already trying to make him the charming, redeemable anti-hero with a moral compass. instead of the charming pyschopath with questionable morals and a really fukking weird sense of honor. that's all he should be at this point.
Negan is feared by the saviors. Rick & Maggie are respected by their people. The people of the kingdom actually love & believe in King Ezekiel.King Zeke
Of all the groups we've encountered I don't remember a team that straight up protected their leader like the Kingdom just did in the end of this episode. That's an insane amount of respect he's got
