Breh who are these people clamoring for this fight? Fatass Dan wrote that shyt then some BS boxing blog writers ran with it, that's who your basing this shyt on. GGG is just the next Make A Wish fighter to beat Floyd.
If Floyd did fight him at 154 all we'd here is "Floyd weight draining GGG" "Why wont he fight him at 160 if hes TBE" and after Floyd 10-2's him its gonna be some "We told yall he was weight drained" "Why dont Floyd fight Andre Ward"
Fatass will write an article about how Floyd should fight Sergai Kovalev or Beterbiev and a bunch of lazy ass "writers" will run with that shyt, it will end up on yahoo or MSN and the comment section will have a bunch of cacs hating on Floyd saying hes scared. Rinse and repeat breh, rinse and repeat. That t-shirts been faded and worn out

Exactly. Floyd damn near 40 with 22 world champions under his belt and these cac act like they still need convincing.

Where did I say this?:jbhmm:

This is from 2013:

Sanchez again clarified why it’s not out of the question for Golovkin to drop down in weight to face off with WBA/WBC junior middleweight champion Floyd Mayweather.

“You know, that’s the smartest business man in boxing right now,” Sanchez said respectfully of Mayweather. “When he wants things to happen, he makes them happen. I think that Golovkin is really the only name out there that is going to get him the kind of payday that he had in his last bout with Canelo.

“There’s nobody on the horizon that’s going to get him a $40-$50 million dollar payday,” Sanchez added. “And if Golovkin is the guy, then we’re willing to go down to 154. It’s a matter of Floyd putting it together and I think he can.”

Abel Sanchez says Gennady Golovkin is the only guy who can get Floyd Mayweather

And people have been talking about GGG vs Floyd at 154 for some while now even BEFORE that article...even in #TheRing. Ever since Abel Sanchez 1st brought it up, we've discussed it, the hardcores in here have rebuked that fight, because we know Floyd shouldnt do it, but it's been a talking point for a minute. For you to try and sit here and act like it hasnt, is exactly why Im always hard on yall (nh). Yall can never keep it real in reference to anything Floyd Mayweather:snoop:

As far as the rest of your post, it's typical :cape: for Floyd that I already advised the lead Floyd stan I will no longer be accepting from the Floyd Stan Conglomeration. "If's" & hypotheticals dont mean nothing to me breh:manny:

Floyd Mayweather vs Gennady Golovkin? Fans want superfight
Written by Sal Arteaga at Nov 04, 2013 - 11:04AM ET

Floyd Mayweather, the WBC Welterweight Champion and Lineal/RING Magazine jr middleweight champion, defeated Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez in September and looks to fight again May 2014.With the prospect of Mayweather facing fellow fight legend Manny Pacquiao dimming, the probability of Floyd facing other fighters grows. In a recent online poll conducted by RING Magazine, the popular boxing publication asked fans: Who, other than Manny Pacquiao, should Floyd Mayweather fight next?

The poll was conducted prior to Golovkin vs Stevens (Nov 2, 2013) and voters were given the option to select from the following top pugilists:

  • Tim Bradley
  • Danny Garcia
  • Adrien Broner
  • Miguel Cotto
  • Sergio Martinez
  • Amir Khan
  • Marcos Maidana
  • Gennady Golovkin
  • Ruslan Provodnikov
  • Brandon Rios, and
  • Peter Quillin

The poll's winner was Kazakhstan assassin Gennady Golovkin.
And Argentinian superstar RING/Lineal Middleweight Champion Sergio Martinez finished second, ahead of the supposed leaders, Amir Khan and Danny Garcia.

If the responders accurately reflect a subset of fight fans, it begs the question: Why not give fans what they want to see - Mayweather vs Golovkin?

The first speed bump to overcome would be the weight. Mayweather is a small jr. middleweight (154 lbs max) while Golovkin fights at the middleweight (160 lbs max). And being the opportunist he is, Floyd would seek every concession possible and would likley ask the naturally bigger Golovkin drop to 154 pounds - something Gennady has promised to do.

In fighting Golovkin, Mayweather, as the pound-for-pound king, would have the opportunity to challenge for the WBA and IBO Middleweight Championships or defend his newly won jr. middleweight titles, the RING/WBC/WBA Championships against boxing fastest rising star.

From a promotional standpoint, a Mayweather-Golovkin match would not be difficult to make as Golovkin's promoter, K2, has good working relationships with all other promotional teams.
The biggest obstacle would be the networks. Golovkin fights on HBO while Mayweather has a very big, extremely lucrative deal with Showtime. As a result, Golovkin would likely have to fight him on Showtime.

Considering the revenue potential of a Mayweather vs Golovkin bout, it would likely be in the best interest of both networks to find a working solution.

Mayweather vs Golovkin can happen... But the ultimate decision is Floyd Mayweather's.

Breh you were talking about the "public" clamoring for Floyd to fight a guy that only hard core boxing fans really know about. That's not the general public that's the few of us who are boxing fans. This is GGG's first ever PPV headline he's not Manny Pacquiao, Miguel Cotto or Canelo hes Keith Thurman, Adrian Broner level right now. Now dont get me wrong in the grand scheme if things I d rather Floyd fought a GGG,Keith or even Danny Garcia over Berto but Im not gonna cry about the shyt either.

So GGG's trainer, who makes a cut off GGG's purse wanted him him to fight the man that's gonna get him paid the most money. You dont say :jbhmm:

Wow what a shock the person on the list the fans would be most likely to believe would KO Floyd Mayweather and finally put him in his place. I bet you if Wlad was on the list 90+% would have voted for him to fight Floyd

Where is the link to the results? How many people actually voted in this poll? Whats the percentage look like?

"Bu-bu-but nobody wanted to see Floyd vs GGG:to:"

2013, GGG won the damn poll on who would fans prefer to see Floyd if it couldnt be Pacquiao, but yet Im getting it from Dan Rafael:dead:
u still dont get it breh:patrice:
ppl who read ring magazine are boxing fans
i keep telling u i'm talking about casuals and even tho he is gaining momentum, the majority of casuals or floyd haters cant even name a fighter GGG has fought and can't pronounce his full name
you are quoting boxing websites and boxing magazines as if you are making a point
most boxing casuals didn't no who floyd was until he fought gatti
they really began to know him when he fought de la hoya
he was built up slowly until he finally made it mainstream even tho he was dominating from pretty much day 1

theres a difference between making noise in the boxing community and making noise in the mainstream
thats why i was:dwillhuh: when you said he more popular than broner

they are doing a good job of building him slowly, but AGAIN, Go to the mall and ask 10 random ppl if they know who GGG is and who he last fought and see if you get a proper response:usure:

again, for the last time. i am talking about GGG not being a mainstream star yet and most casuals fans not knowing who he is, nothing more or less. if they don't no who he is, they can't say floyd is scared of him and call for the fight. this site isn't real life:yeshrug: just cause we talk about it here sometimes and u see it on other boxing websites doesn't mean anything

in the real world, it has minimal buzz at the moment but it has room for a lot. i've found theres more around ggg facing the cotto canelo winner to be honest:yeshrug:

GGG vs Curtis Stevens of all people, did 1.4 million on HBO...that's more than ANY Floyd Mayweather or Adrien Broner fight ever on cable television.

Just leave it alone breh, GGG is more popular than Floyd before he fought Judah & more popular than AB period.

To keep acting like he's a nobody (when he sells tickets, brings in viewers, and is about to fight on PPV) is false and not worth arguing.

And to let you know, the casuals only get behind fighters the hardcore fans bring up...not the other way around. Hardcores beat the drum in the heart beat of Boxing. Hardcore fans started the "Floyd needs to fight Pacquiao" bandwagon, not casuals. Hardcore fans started the "Floyd needs to fight Canelo" bandwagon, not casuals. Hardcore fans started the "Floyd vs DLH" bandwagon, not casuals. Casuals just went along because WE told them it was a good fight.

GGG is the guy who the Boxing public preferred Floyd to fight since 2013 and if not, Thurman would suffice. Instead he's fighting Berto and that's why his numbers are gonna be lower than it has in a long time. THAT'S the reason for lack of buzz...not that other stuff you brought up.

Facts. Use them.

Unless you can find me an Adrien Broner/Floyd Mayweather fight that has done more than 1.4 million on HBO or Showtime, then there's nothing else to say about it.

GGG selling out MSG while Floyd was fighting in half-full Bingo Halls & AB's giving away free tickets in Vegas for his last couple fights, but yet GGG isnt as popular as AB:stopitslime:.
