I definitely don't agree with a 70 year old JR being "the voice" of AEW. They need new/fresh commentators who will be recognized as "All Elite Wrestling"

JR will ALWAYS be remembered as/identified as WWF Attitude "STONE COLD STONE COLD STONE COLD!!!!" JR

I wouldn't mind him in creative/talent relations because I think he could be a huge benefit there.

The name value and Ross' friendship with Dusty was always too strong for Cody to pass up.

I think Ross could be useful in the advisory role and maybe help keep Cody and the Bucks grounded in professional wrestling and curb some of their goofier ideas that would be better suited for BTE comedy skits.

As a commentator, he was completely lost and disinterested doing NJPW, but I think he'll be slightly better here. Still, dude fell off 15+ years ago and got even worse when his wife died (which is understandable). I hope he's not doing the heavy lifting at the commentators table.

Let Excalibur lead and be "the Voice of AEW". I've enjoyed Excalibur's NJPW work.

I doubt they'd ever try to program against WWE. Kenny has already said their attitude isn't to go to "war" with WWE and that they just want to be a successful alternative.

He's terrible at commentary now. Legit bad. Doesn't even bother to study the talent, and doesn't even bother to give a shyt about how that makes him look.

I don't want him behind the scenes because he's a guy who will just take the check and nothing more. He did it at WCW, did it at WWE, did it for NJPW.

As noted, AEW announcer Jim Ross spoke with WFAN in New York City this past weekend and said All Elite Wrestling will have a weekly two-hour live TV show that premieres in October. JR did not reveal the timeslot or the name for the AEW TV show, and he refused to elaborate on what network will carry the program, but he did say the AEW TV show will air on a major network that we all have access to.
