It boggles my mind that All In and presumably Double or Nothing can sell out but it takes NJPW and ROH doing a joint show to sell out MSG. BTE might be the most important wrestling show besides RAW at this point.

In theory ROH, NJPW, and Impact should be able to those numbers without doing joint shows, especially with their rosters but they just can't.

It's all about promotion. The MSG show was going to sell out with or without ROH, I think that was more about Ring of Honor needing NJ to fill the place out. And that shyt sold out immeditately, mainly because people thought The Elite guys would be there.

And to be honest, if New Japan actually put an actual effort to promote a show and book a Sumo Hall-level card, the would sell out a 10k arena in the US too. They just don't give a fukk and do a horrible job with those events.

Basically if WWE doesn't give Batista what he wants [another HHH match] then he's giving them the :camby:

Wow, so just saw an interview with Cody and Nick and they confirmed something will be great for the wrestlers and could be a game changer.

When it comes to merch, yea there will be AEW branded stuff with the talent.

But if the talent want to still sell their personal merch and get all their money, still have their store, AEW not gonna block that too.

So in addition to that and having contracts where you can still do your own thing (Kenny still working NJPW, Chris and his cruise, Joey Janela Springbreak thing, the Lucha Bros still working with everyone they working with) this already is great for everyone outside of the WWE.

And more reason to leave when that contract is up

I mean this was pretty much a given though with the Pro Wrestling Tees connection. There are guys in WWE right now selling shirts through them.

That's a disgusting amount to pay Daniels of all people :dwillhuh:...

but if he got that shyt then :damn:

Kaz to Daniels:

"Relax, you have an 850k downside"

Maaaaaaaan if that shyt is true :wow:

I think I saw somewhere that he's the Head of Talent Relations so basically he gave himself an 850k downside lol.

Edit: Found it at the beginning of the video

Of course WCW already had the adult demo viewership, as AEW does. I never said they switched focuses and claimed a demo they didn't already cater to. What I said is that base exploded when they decided to turn down the wackiness and shift toward realism when they went primetime because it was a breath of fresh air for wrestling at the time.

Because adult demo or not, they were still doing shyt like the Dungeon of Doom, Oz, and Arachnaman before making a shift.

Anyway, my only point in is this was addressing you saying "is the WWE's humor supposed to be better or funnier than AEW or indy humor? joey ryan is no more embarrassing than any WWE comedy wrestler. I feel like yall are just nit-picking at this point."

I'm excited to see what AEW does and they can do whatever they want. We're not bashing Joey Ryan for the sake of giving WWE a pass, we're just saying respect for it being over as fukk on the indies, it's just not our personal taste :manny:

There's way too many different types of wrestling fans and sensibilities out there for that to be considered a nitpick.

the dungeon of doom were part of the nitro era
gimmicks like Oz & arahnaman lasted about 15 minutes in WCW. that stuff was never anywhere near the forefront for WCW, like youre trying to make it seem.

and while WCW did have a lot of failed attempts at pandering to younger audiences in the early '90s, the main theme of the promotion was always more serious/real. i'd even say that it was more real/sporty than it was during the nitro era. really, the nitro era was more cool & cutting edge, and most importantly they had the biggest names in the business. then when NWO came thru, it was a wrap.

so youre saying that WWE humor is your personal taste?
if not, then you are indeed nit-picking if you single out joey ryan. especially seeing how its doubtful that he will ever be anywhere near the forefront of AEW.
