And if that WCW crack was for me then no, no white flags were waved, but it seemed like my tangents were making you miss my only point. I started the conversation saying that pointing out indie white boy humor doesn’t mean we’re defending or excusing WWE’s corniness, but 5 posts later you’re still asking me if I prefer WWE humor.

you were wrong and you side-stepped that.
that's one thing. its whatever. cool.

but you had to throw the smilies in there.
im not feeling all that. it felt like a deflection.

The fukk are you talking about? :what:

that was an accident.
that 2nd sentence was for the poster I quoted above you. my bad.

watch that mouth tho.

If they're not planning on just being an alternative and not starting a war with WWE, do they really need TV? They've basically sold out Double or Nothing and All In just using Being The Elite to hype it.

Wasn’t wrong or side-stepping in the least, but we’ll be here all day going example for example and year for year over what was supposed to be a footnote in my point.

I threw the smilies in disbelief because I couldn’t understand how you could still think I’m shilling WWE when the entire basis of this conversation is that one strength WCW had during a certain point in the Monday Night Wars (disagreements over history aside) is that when WWE turned the volume up on goofy, WCW centered around realism.

So cool, let’s say you’re 100% right about your WCW historical points and I’m 100% wrong. Even if that’s the case, the very foundation of that example is “fukk WWE for being corny”. Which is why I was explaining that critiquing indie corniness doesn’t mean that we’re defending WWE corniness. They aren’t mutually exclusive. If at the end of that you still are asking me if I prefer WWE humor then what are we even talking about?

We can debate Monday Night Wars all day but I feel like we’re talking in circles if my original point keeps getting missed or misrepresented.

Just listened to Tony Khan on Jericho's podcast and part of the reason why he considered starting up a promotion was because he thought he could land a TV rights deal. I think a good TV deal or at least a good digital provider like ESPN+, Netflix or Amazon would be huge for them.

They do if they want a network paying them tens of millions of dollars a year to broadcast a weekly show.

If they actually wanna win money, then yes, they need it. It's not like Khan is gonna open his checkbook for a super indy forever.
