Bro.. If you don't know the answer to that, don't even bother watching these new episodes. You're only doing yourself a disservice, forreal. Watch from the jump or wherever you left off and eat healthy when you catch up.

One thing I've learned from tonight is once an episode airs, skip past the new 50-60 pages to get to @hexagram23's input/analysis instead of sifting through 50-60 pages of the same bullshyt looking for his insight lol I'm excited that the board is as excited about me but DAMN some people's perspectives are so :stopitslime:&:deadhorse:
ive actually seen all the epsiodes but i couldnt hear what she said :to:

I thought this was a good episode, but I'm not going crazy over it like some dudes are. I saw this coming with the whole splitting the last season into two parts thing. The show already feels like it's rushing things. So Jesse feels this way about getting rid of the money but he sits on it for a month and conveniently wants to get rid of it around the same time that Hank finds out about Walt which happens around the same time Lydia wants Walt to get back into the game? The timing stuff isn't a huge deal, but I definitely noticed that all of this shyt is hitting Walt in a day or two span nearly a month after he left the game.

My real gripe though is with how Walt is handling finding out that Hank knows. I understand Hank reacting the way he did when Walt confronted him. He's just now finding out what Walt is. All of the shyt he's been through all these years was Walt's doing. He's been lying to him all this time. I understand and appreciate Hank reacting that way when Walt confronted him with the tracker. I just have a serious problem with the thought that Walt would confront him with the tracker in the first place. Walt knows that Hank knows...so instead of being the intelligent person who used his brain and looked for ways around things like he always has, he just walks up to Hank and essentially says "I know you're tracking me?":dwillhuh: I've been siting here trying to figure out why Walt would do that, but I can't figure it out. Fine he knows he's a dead man soon...what about his family? Skyler has been a part of this from nearly the beginning. Walt can't go to jail, but Skyler can easily. That whole exchange was just so out of character for Walt, imo.

That said, the scene was so good it lifted my overall opinion of the episode:manny:

These are valid complaints but prior to this ep people were saying :wtf: "how can Walt just leave the game with no problems, like he's quitting McDonalds?". Well, he got hit with 3 (Hank/Jesse/Lydia) problems in one episode. Sure they could've spaced these things out but I assume this is to illustrate that the wheels are rapidly falling off his "empire".

As far as Hank...Walt told Gus to his face, while he was tied up out in the desert "I know you can't kill me". So telling Hank "I know you're tracking me" is light work.

The logic behind doing that....look at it like this breh. Let's say you live in ABQ, and you're picked to be a juror in the State of NM vs Walter White.

You sit in the court room, and find out the star witness against Mr. White, accusing him of being a drug lord, is his brother in law Hank Schrader. :what:

Who is a DEA agent. :what:

And literally every lead Hank had in the case either died (Gus/Tuco/Hector/Tortuga) or disppeared (Mike/Krazy 8/Emilio/etc.) :what:

In addition to this, in some of those situations Hank personally killed them (Tuco). Or, in other cases they died shortly after he met with them (Hector/Tortuga) :what:

Now, we know what happened. But the jury doesn't.

And eventually I'm sure they'd clear Hank's name. But by then Walt would be dead, Skyler and her kids would be ruined financially, and Hank would be unemployed and most likely hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt with legal fees.

So essentially he was playing chicken with Hank. The same way he did with Skyler, when he told her "ok, call the cops" in season 3.

I agree with that. a lot of people like it because there's less 'filler' for them but it did feel rushed to me :manny:

Fred already explained it more or less, but basically Walt knows that denying it completely is stupid. Hank knows enough at this point to put two and two together. Like Fred says, Walt has a lot of leverage on Hank, and Hank himself doesnt have much concrete evidence against Walt. DEA would think hes nuts saying his bro is Heisenberg

Walt is playing with his cards on the table, because he has a stronger hand than Hank and he gains nothing by further lying. He wont obviously say it openly because Hank might be taping him...but once both know it's on there's little reason for fakeness.
Plus, Walt always liked to stand up to Hank and bask in his Heisenberg persona aura.

I'm pretty sure he's going to go all the way with turning Walt in and all. Walt has no more cards left to play...at least from what I've seen, lol.

:childplease:

Walt has plenty of cards to play if Hank goes all the way. He'll just paint Hank out as an accomplice and his career is over. Hank will look like a damn fool for not being able to figure out the biggest Kingpin in the entire territory was his damn brother in law. On top of that, Hank's rehab that has him walking again was fully funded by that meth money

:youngsabo:

Walt essentially knows how ridiculous it looks from an outsiders' perspective that he was doing all of that and Hank knew nothing. Good luck trying to convince people on that. I saw this happening though. Hank's pride is just hurt right now, but when he actually takes some time to think about it... he's probably going to realize going forward with this will possibly ruin his life along with his family's in the process. Hank is a prideful dude though, so he may do it, but best believe Walt will bring him down with him.

One aspect of Skinny Pete and Badger's Star Trek conversation is how every one who goes through the transporter actually dies and a replicate person comes out of the other end...

Perhaps foreshadowing Walt transporting himself into Mr. Lambert as the 'real' Walter White dies (he fakes his death)

Reaching???

I was telling somebody yesterday, Hank just can't go and tell his supervisor that his brother in law is the drug lord they've been searching for the past two years.

Hank: I found Heisenberg :smugfavre:

Boss: :ohhh:

Hank: Walter White

Boss: Your brother in law? :upsetfavre:

Hank: Got the motherfukker :smugdraper

Boss: So the dude we've been searching for the past two years, is your brother in law? The guy with cancer, the guy we collected donations for? You've been having barbecues and going to this guy's house and never noticed anything? The genius science whiz married to your wife's sister and you never put 2 and 2 together? An unemployed science teacher paid for your extensive medical bills and you didn't think that was strange that he had that money? Come to think of it, didn't you kill Tuco, a guy in business with Heisenberg? And you've been handling this case from the jump, got promoted, went to work with the DEA, got promoted again, all while Heisenberg was running things. Weren't you taking this guy out to help you with the case, showing him evidence and shyt? You know what Hank, close that door, I've got some questions for you now

I dont think hank has nearly as much pride as walt, but the problem is exactly if hank cannot put walt behind bars- what will happen to everyone ?

which brings us back to people who can actually testify against walt and put him behind bars- lydia, jesse, saul and todd. the list is pretty slim. skyler cannot because shes walts wife.
I guess badger or skinny pete potentially can as, but its extremely unlikely

I think we all know lydia serves a purpose in these last few episodes or else shed be popped long before; same with todd

Great episode to start the season off. Ive been rewatching the series to refresh my memory and it's crazy how everyone connected to Walt is having their life flipped upside down, even if they dont have a hand in his business

out of those 4, only jesse and maybe todd really have nothing to lose, though. lydia would lose a lot and go nuts, saul will lose his rep and the money.
only jesse and todd can testify without losing careers and families, really.

hank doesnt even know about lydia or todd.

so jesse is the one that probably the easiest to get to testify against walt.

It felt rushed but only because you don't know what's coming, there's a lot of fukkery coming, I HOPE.
