Yo @hexagram23 ...
Any idea on how long it usually takes them to put out the official episode podcast???
Should have been up hours ago. It's never taken this long before.

Im invested this much into it. Might as well see how it endslol if you are watching dexter in 2013 you really just dont give a fukk about life anymore.
also brehs, maybe a plothole but if its not, its clear that Hank didnt care about Walt finding out he knows -
he did take the book from him and didnt even try to replace it. he couldve taken a pic with a phone or something.
he sure couldnt have been so naive to think Walt wouldnt notice a book with Gales writing in it gone, could he ?
at first, yeah. but by the time they met in the garage...Hank shouldve realized Walt has seen the book missing and only one person would actually be interested in itHank was so fukked up mentally I just assumed he didn't even think that far into the future. He just snatched the book up and left.

These are valid complaints but prior to this ep people were saying "how can Walt just leave the game with no problems, like he's quitting McDonalds?". Well, he got hit with 3 (Hank/Jesse/Lydia) problems in one episode. Sure they could've spaced these things out but I assume this is to illustrate that the wheels are rapidly falling off his "empire".
As far as Hank...Walt told Gus to his face, while he was tied up out in the desert "I know you can't kill me". So telling Hank "I know you're tracking me" is light work.
The logic behind doing that....look at it like this breh. Let's say you live in ABQ, and you're picked to be a juror in the State of NM vs Walter White.
You sit in the court room, and find out the star witness against Mr. White, accusing him of being a drug lord, is his brother in law Hank Schrader.
Who is a DEA agent.
And literally every lead Hank had in the case either died (Gus/Tuco/Hector/Tortuga) or disppeared (Mike/Krazy 8/Emilio/etc.)
In addition to this, in some of those situations Hank personally killed them (Tuco). Or, in other cases they died shortly after he met with them (Hector/Tortuga)
Now, we know what happened. But the jury doesn't.
And eventually I'm sure they'd clear Hank's name. But by then Walt would be dead, Skyler and her kids would be ruined financially, and Hank would be unemployed and most likely hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt with legal fees.
So essentially he was playing chicken with Hank. The same way he did with Skyler, when he told her "ok, call the cops" in season 3.

I agree with the leverage Walt has, I just don't see the Walter White they've portrayed up to this point behaving how he did at the end of the episode. Walt becomes aggressive and defiant once he's pushed to it and his back is against the wall. I didn't expect denials or lying from Walt because I never expected him to instigate that confrontation in the first place. When he found the tracker I was wondering how is he going to tackle this? Leave the tracker there and make sure whoever is watching him has nothing to see, or get rid of the tracker and indirectly let whoever is watching him know that he knows he's being watched. He's out of the game and wants to stay that way, yet here he is (leverage or not) jumping head first into conflict.I agree with that. a lot of people like it because there's less 'filler' for them but it did feel rushed to me
Fred already explained it more or less, but basically Walt knows that denying it completely is stupid. Hank knows enough at this point to put two and two together. Like Fred says, Walt has a lot of leverage on Hank, and Hank himself doesnt have much concrete evidence against Walt. DEA would think hes nuts saying his bro is Heisenberg
Walt is playing with his cards on the table, because he has a stronger hand than Hank and he gains nothing by further lying. He wont obviously say it openly because Hank might be taping him...but once both know it's on there's little reason for fakeness.
Plus, Walt always liked to stand up to Hank and bask in his Heisenberg persona aura.
To be fair, Walt was careless enough to leave a book with Gale's writing in it right next to the shytter like it was a Maxim magazine or somethingalso brehs, maybe a plothole but if its not, its clear that Hank didnt care about Walt finding out he knows -

The Shield. The Wire dropped the ball big time with that last season and don't even get me started on Sopranos.
Plus Walt was just trying to get Hank's sympathies in an attempt to get him to stop investigating further. He wasn't aggressive until it was clear Hank gave no fukksI agree with that. a lot of people like it because there's less 'filler' for them but it did feel rushed to me
