US auto safety regulations are not terribly strict and manufacturers are allowed to self-certify that they pass safety requirements.

The Cybertruck has no NHTSA safety rating. It has not been tested by either the NHTSA or the IIHS.

This is the first time I've felt anything regarding the possibility of serious injury or death since my brother passed. Thought I was numb to it all.

That's a fair point. My first two cars were minivans, like a hand me down Caravan and a hand me down Honda Odyssey. My friends were driving like Ford Taurus' and
Toyota Camrys at the most.

Eh, you know what, I had a friend who drove a really fast Mustang that he built l, but he was a responsible dude.

Even as an adult, I was doing like 150 in a sports car and realized I had to get rid of it before I got arrested or killed.
