:jbhmm:Question…do you bruhs prefer Cameron’s idea of a Xenomorph queen. And the Xenomorphs basically being space bugs with a hive and all. Or Scott’s og vision of the Xenomorphs being a bioweapon created from the black goo. We know that Scott originally wasn’t fun of Aliens, and the idea of a Queen. But which do you prefer queen or bioweapon?

I would prefer Scott's if he could stick the fukking landing but since he can't....

Paul Reiser to this day :pacspit:

You'll really hate him if you try watching an episode of Mad About You. Hes incredibly well cast as a slimy douchebag you actually want to get killed.

Prometheus was good for what it was set out to do, imo. Covenant missed the mark by not continuing Shaw's journey with Prometheus Paradise. One of my biggest disappointment :smh:

Yeah, basically the studio made Ridley get into the Alien stuff faster, and he figured Covenant as the start of a trilogy that would have circled back to the Engineer story. Then Fox got sold and thats that.

Just saw this on Thursday. Best Alien film since the second. :hubie: As a huge fan of the videogame Alien: Isolation, I loved the Easter eggs they sprinkled in with the callbacks to the earlier films. The first half of this movie felt like the OG Alien in that it was slow, methodical, intense, and claustrophobic. The second half definitely had a part II vibe in that it felt more action oriented, rapid paced, & wide open. The two subtle shift in tones actually worked here.

All in all, this kept my attention throughout the runtime, which doesn't happen often to me with modern horror films. I'd definitely reccomend this to anyone on the fence. You don't even need to be an Alien fan in order to enjoy it, just someone into suspense & horror.

when clips of that dude playing basketball popped up on the internet years ago, i legit thought it was cgi. i thought it was a fake video. it didn't look like a real person moving, then i saw this movie and thought that creature was mostly cgi. ... crazy. hope this dude works more in this field.

Just got back from seeing this in IMAX, glad I was able to see it on the big screen after it not being in the format opening weekend in my area for some reason. Visually it looked really good and I was entertained throughout :ehh: . Nice use of gravity and acid, although the gore factor doesn't reach the heights of the director's Evil Dead Remake. Andy/Rain dynamic really helped the story.
