1st hour was mid. But once they turned it into a video game vibe it was good. It was liked they scaled it down and the main character became "her".

I think the “spin” was the black goo being used as a serum to make super humans to survive on the colonized planets. Ive never heard that concept before in any alien movie

That was Ridley Scott FORCING his prometheus storyline into this movie.

The same with that bullshyt at end which was copied directly from Prometheus.

It wasn't anything new and just Ridley AGAIN trying to ERASE James Cameron's Aliens

pretty good, but it is the Alien greatest hits
Nothing new introduced other than a glimpse of mining colony life for a few minutes.

a few nitpicks

• How do this group of kids all in their early/mid 20s it seems, have access to a Millennium Falcon that they can go into Space anytime they want? The previous scene made it look like you needed special permission to leave.
  [*]No chance that Weyland Corp didn't know that one of their trillion dollar space stations with valuable science breakthroughs was floating around if the Kids were able to detect it so easily..

Yea I thought the same thing. It would have been even more interesting if there were soldiers or scientists from the Weyland Corp on the other side of the spaceship.

I still really enjoyed the movie
