never watched the alien movies. I'm about to watch the first two this weekend but I ended up seeing this one first. pretty enjoyable. nothing crazy though.. makes me wanna watch the classics so I can really sink in, same as Twisters. the visual language of the movie is top tier, but everything else seemed kinda regular. I did love the ending act starting from when the setting changes. seems like this was a standard horror movie that they threw the alien world onto instead of the other way around.

I love ALIEN regardless, nothing new for the most part, but fun...

Some stuff.

:mjlol: For some reason, despite Ripley setting off the Self-Destruct... and the NOSTROMO blowing up 3-times in a Nuclear Explosion... there is chunks of it around in space. Weyland-Yutani's shyt is weak.

:mjcry: It was cool seeing Ian Holm one last time as 'Ash but not Ash a.k.a. Rook' :stopitslime:Then his goofy ass started to do his prime directives on Andy.

:mjtf: This guy was a complete fukkup, and the reason why the Corbelan crashed in the Romulus. Good he got the acid bath.

Don't know how I feel about that Boss Baby Xenomorph just yet

:skip:
Film loss a few points for me when I saw it :francis:

I was prepared for it to be an engineer or something revealed in the next movie :manny:

also I thought the black goo was a bio chemical weapon that accidentally created xenomorph race, not a superhuman serum that came from xenomorph dna. Is it me or did they just introduce this concept in this franchise for first time?

Nah, it was introduced in PROMETHEUS as the Genesis that created the Xenomorph. Throughout the ALIEN series, the Xenomorph will take on the attributes of it's host when in chestburster form. So for most of the movies, since it's a Human as the host, it's bipedal but in Alien 3 the host was a Dog so it was faster.
