I think the more Alien movies you’re familiar with, the less you’ll like this movie. I’ve only seen the first 2 OG movies so I missed a lot of the retreads ppl are complaining about. So personally, I think this might be my favorite watch of the year, but I can see how hardcore fans are probably like “I’ve seen this before”.

Entertaining. But left my mind as soon as I hit the car. My first time in Dolby cinema. I liked spaeny but she looks too young. Hard to believe she had been working 6 years for the company already. Merced looks young too. But she gets a pass because I've always these was cute

Bella’s killing it, but all I could think about in Cailee’s scenes with Isabela was the what if scenario of her being cast as Ellie in HBO’s TLOU.

I think this was my 1st time seeing an Alien movie in the theater. I wouldn’t call this a horror film but I really enjoyed it. Once it got going it never really slowed down IMO. The scene with the blood was dope

Agreed. They looked really young. Both are attractive (no ) but this movie would’ve benefited from more physically mature looking women. The aesthetic of Hollywood looks like it’s changing

Really? I fukking love Dolby cinema

I kinda miss the old AMC Dolby bumper

I have tons of theaters near me. Including of the only 70MM IMAX in the country. But the 4 joints with Dolby are all outside my usual driving bubble. I'll do it more often now. One is only like 20 min from me.

Lincoln Theatre in NYC? Saw Oppenheimer there. Absolutely glorious screen and viewing experience :banderas:

Saw Romulus last night in iMAX - the shyt was fire. Some beautiful visuals, the sound design was on point, very suspenseful, some decent humor. I was satisfied with the film but I can see why some may want more or why it’ll have mixed reviews.

I thought Fede did a great job writing and directing this and wouldn’t mind another from him in the universe. I’ll let a few more bruhs see it before I add more thoughts don’t wanna spoil anything.

So much going on in this movie :banderas:

Pretty well directed and solid visuals

Like people say, I dunno about the casting of the lead females, they just seem young and weak for this type of movie/franchise

Was the android part one of the lost Jonathon Majors roles? :lolbron:

This movie was kinda predictable but I respect them staying on code for us true Alien fans

Walking into this movie not knowing anything about prior alien movies probably made it the GOAT experience :blessed:

I’ll spare my questions and any other comments until later because don’t wanna spoil :manny:

This movie was dope as hell. The jump scares were perfect. The action and suspense were great. Initial thoughts, probably the best theater movie I’ve seen this year so far. Came in with low expectations because I seen the Aliens movies before, but it’s not a go to series for me. I can’t believe this was going to go straight to Hulu before they decided to make it theatrical.

My only real negative is that one of the characters accent was so thick, I couldn’t make out what he said half the time. Definitely needed subtitles whenever he was on screen
