agreed. skew young to the point none of the cast seems capable of piloting a spaceship, make it "scarier" but it just looks like a total rehash. i have a free movie ticket expiring this month and can't decide if i'm going to this or Beetlejuice, which i fully expect to follow in the long line of legacy comedy sequels that you leave the theater going, "that was pretty good" then never think of again for the rest of your life.
Going back to what worked in the first Alien while letting Fede add in his magic here and there is good enough for me, especially coming off of Covenant.

I’ve been playing Alien: Isolation in the lead-up, which I think is a masterpiece on its own and if I recall, Fede drew inspirations from for this.

Idk why we haven’t been getting more horror IP single-player games, there’s a lot of potential there. Just imagine having to navigate the dark, foggy streets of Haddonfield all the while Michael Myers is stalking your ass. The multiplayer joints like DBD, F13, Texas Chainsaw Massacre can be fun, but they aren’t scary. At least not to me.

It seems like most of the negative reviews say it plays like a "greatest hits" Alien movie instead of being it's own thing.

If that's the worst thing about it :yeshrug: I'm sure I'll like it a lot. That's all I personally want. I don't want them to reinvent the wheel. The Xenomorph is one of the best creature designs in history (not just visually, I mean basically every aspect of it)....I want a space ship, the alien, and people dying. That's it.

We haven't had a good Alien movie in 40 years... Why is it crime for it to actually be like a good Alien movie instead of the shyt that was Covenant and Resurrection.

Damn if you do, Damned if you don't.

Give me a break with "Greatest Hits" cliche. Just sounds like a hater that can't hate on something for not being objectively bad.
