Replaying this now on Nightmare difficulty. Its more intense than I remember. The Working Joe androids really had that Michael Myers drip. Top 5 game this gen for me. The immersion is insane.

I marathon'd this shyt this weekend cause I made the mistake I made on God of War--played on the hardest mode (Give Me God of War/Nightmare) on my first playthrough.

But, I FINALLY finished it.

Bad

• Not enough story outside of having to read all that pickup shyt and the recording. In a horror game about a super nimble killer, I can't sit and read shyt.
• I finally see why this game is called too long--TOO MANY FAKEOUTS
• nikka, I had lost the will to live by the time I fell in a alien nest again
• Too many plot contrivances.
  • Cut out all the going here and there, cut this on--GOODNESS I WAS TURN OF TURNING THE fukkING POWER ON

  • The Torrence bullshyt
  • The Andriods
  • The corporate shyt
  • Some technical issues...but, shyt this is a PS3/360 era game.
• The aliens were cheesy as hell, at a certain point I gave you any strategy and would die 15 to 40 times in a section til I could chance a bre
• The ending...

Good

• Looks good for the time it was made...the faces are goofy, though.
• Though you really don't connect with any humans
• SCARY...gave me those RE2:Remake vibes
• I like that there were no boss battles, I appreciate grounded games
• The shooting was realistic in terms of the main character not being military
• Didn't get overly action based--almost got there with the android shyt.

It's a good game, but, DO NOT PLAY ON NIGHTMARE

Watched Romulus a few days ago & I got in the mood to replay this. Tried the PS5 BC version but I've been spoiled and can't do 30 FPS & blurry textures. Copped on Steam and added a graphics mod for a little boost to textures. Playing at 165 FPS & 4k.



I will probably revisit this game once every 2 - 4 years. It's that good, even a decade later.
