people like David Sirota are planting that in the blogsphere but its stupid. i think the Bernie left is so desperate for the next standard bearer to be a hero that they don't realize what they're putting out there.
AOC is young and she ain't gonna beat the Senate Dem LEADER in a primary in 2022... that'll also take away money for other Senate primaries that may be winnable! NY State is a machine Dem party outfit too. She can't walk the whole state.

Good point, a guy like him needs some interesting hot takes to stay relevant. But this would be a detriment to the movement, let her sink into some type of normalcy as a Congress member before making any move like this. The terrain is too unsettled for anything like this. It would be counterproductive but guys like Sirota don't care.

AOC defeated Joe Crowley in NY. You are talking about someone from the midwest she didn't run against but dared support a primary challenger against. You used that as a claim she was targeting CBC members when she's not. Meanwhile the CBC is endorsing a white Jewish politician over a Black man here in NY. Thus proving CBC isn't even about increasing Black membership in Congress. They are about supporting who they think is the best candidate for the job just like AOC.
