I was listening to Kyle Kulinski today and he made a great point. After this closed door meeting the House had today AOC came out insinuating Pelosi is picking on her and her crew because they are women of color. Wrong move, you got this chic right where you want her she should have slammed her ass on policy! Funding ICE, no impeachment, dismissing her proposals etc. Missed opportunity. At the very least she should have said homegirl started it running her mouth to Maureen O'Dowd.

Nancy and centrist Dems already more or less know that AOC and progressives have different politics than them. They think progressives are crazy ideologues. They reckon they can withstand the policy critiques by pivoting to the center-right. But to claim Nancy is a racist? That hurts, and she has no good response to that. The whole centrist neoliberal Dem conceit is based on these superficial appeals to diversity and liberality. Without that, they're exposed as totally bankrupt.

While I can see the logic in that tactic I still think she should have gone the policy route. Her feud with Pelosi is in the mainstream press so you can get some shyt that isn't usually mentioned and talked about in there just by injecting it into the feud.
All Pelosi needs is some centrist Black members to speak up for her and AOC's attacks are nullified.

Hitting Pelosi on the race angle is a great strategy, not the least of which is because it's true.

She has actively chosen to go out of her way to demean and belittle the most outspoken women of color in her party.

You simply cannot ignore the optics of a white woman in her 70s telling a literal representation of her party's base (young women of color) to sit down, shut up, and only speak when I tell you to, while she does everything in her power to defend a white racist misogynistic president of the opposite party who brags about sexual assault.

And I was so glad to see Hassan Piker call out and shyt on members of the CBC a few weeks ago on TYT. I thought their initial backing of Ilhan against Trump's attacks was a sign of strength and a willingness to display future integrity at a risk, but obviously I was fooled.

I think it's especially good as a way to flip the anti-hate resolution that backfired on them when they only targeted Omar. It's flipping that script on Pelosi and others who used these women to show how diverse the party has become but are quick to clap at those same women for speaking up.

Hasan has low key had some money moments. When he went in on John Mccain on TYT was epic. He's getting better at debating too, though he's still tangent heavy and at least in twitch situations his emotions get the better of him at times..
