Being tongue in cheek wrt people on this forum. Instead of caping for her on this, admit what she did and let's move on. Really isn't a big deal but people denying it causes more issues than what it's worth

Nah most of them are shuffling to play it off

It’s nasty too because I noticed that the video was mostly being shown by right wing accounts and thought they were over exaggerating

But she really is out of pocket

I reckon she doesn’t regularly talk like that when she’s on Instagram talking to her constituents :mjpls: I suppose she’s only pulling that out when she wants to connect to “the blacks”

Speech patterns are learned incredibly early - the basics sounds of a language are learned in the first year and accents start from the time you start talking. She lived in the Bronx until she was five, her dad had lived in the Bronx since he was born and she still had family in the Bronx that she visited all the time. Growing up in a Puerto Rican Bronx family, of course she's gonna be able to talk like a Puerto Rican from the Bronx whenever she wants to.

I'm not saying that's what was in the video though - like I said I don't know how Puerto Ricans in the Bronx talk.

I wouldn't be surprised if she only pulls it out sometimes, but like the author is saying that doesn't mean it's not natural to her too.
