Alex Jones is dismissed by the majority of people today, but even his detractors still maintain he started out with honest intentions. (even if he eventually devolved into a red-faced rage monster yelling about gay frogs.)

Don't even need to read it, I grew up in Austin, I lived there and bummed around at bars where he'd crash out with his production crew when his public access show was over. I used to rock with the show that came on after his (The Reel Deal, bunch of hilarious black movie reviewers who now have a popular youtube channel) and then head to the bars afterwards when they all chilled. He was a reactionary but no more than a Rush Limbaugh with a conspiracy theory veneer. But he was a nominally normal cat other than that. As his audience went farther and farther right, he realized that he could monetize the gross reactionaries and the loons who believe that we faked the moon landing and grift them for ratings and eventually sell them a bunch of bullshyt products to create a quasi-media empire. Post 9/11 American fear and the massive cultural shift from the 90's into the 00's spurred a growth that wouldn't have been possible for his style at any other point.

It's all a facade, an act. Sure he's a rambling conservative idiot in real life, but everything else is just an act to keep the authenticity and the appearance of authenticity. The "I CANNOT BE BOUGHT BY THE GLOBALISTS" sheen.

I think you should read it, though. It goes into detail about what his ex-wife's role was in the grift. She was responsible for Alex Jones and InfoWars' brutally effective marketing to the wider conspiracy theorist crowd.

I'm almost more concerned about her than Alex. :merchant:
