It's time for the North West Africa to become prominent again

The great thing about their econmy is that it's been diverse with out using any natural resources. So It doesn't rely on one sector like Angola and what Nigeria was before. However, they found oil a couple a years ago and are just now starting to extract it. That can help them fund many future projects. They're building a new city right outside Dakar and some of the projects on that city looks like Dubai.

Senegal is in a great spot because of location. It's the closest ssAfrican country(minus Mauritania, come on that country is backwards) to Europe and America. So they have huge ports planning.

I have no faith in this Akon project though. I hate when people use pop culture as their selling point to the public. You just know that person ain't serious.

Why not? He's a successful entrepreneur and artist. So far, he has a successful track record in what he does.

His Akon Lighting Africa thing is already in 25 countries and lighting up streets and providing jobs. He's got a billion dollars from china. He's making some serious moves.
