Vlad should have pressed him about what became of the merchants/chiefs who participated and how the wars/conflicts in those areas that fed the slave trade got resolved.
The wars and conflicts and the aftermath would directly impact modern day history of that region and the into what kind of resistance the people put up against the colonizers.
