Considering all that Shawn Michaels was given and how long he was active, he isn't as big of a superstar/household name as he should be.

uh, i would say he's pretty big bro. if he were any bigger he'd be on hogan-rock-austin level.

I'm not making anything up. some of yall are just brainwashed by what vince spoon-feeds you.

nitro won the 1st head-to-head, and they were trading wins with raw, winning more than they lost. they conveniently leave chit like this out of their little DVSs.
then when the NWO came out, that's when they started blowing the wwf out the water.

and yes, the old wcw shows before then generally did better ratings. they weren't some upstart company like TNA. and we can take it back to the nwa days. you ever heard of black Saturday? all this retrospective chit coming from Connecticut and they never mention this at all.

they just didn't do good business like the wwf. until they gave bischoff the wheel.

like I said, comparing TNA to wcw & wwf in terms of companies is ridiculous. different times/different situations. .

Listen, I'm probably the biggest WCW fan on TSC. What you're saying here is still full of ducktales.

You said WCW was winning most of the Monday Night Wars, which they weren't. It was really just going back and forth week to week until the NWO angle started up. Here's the ratings breakdown for you to check it yourself. You'll see RAW pretty much won the first month.

Monday Night Wars Ratings

And anyone comparing WCW to TNA is ass backwards retarded. WCW was an equivalent/superior to WWF at one point. TNA was never even equivalent to Smackdown :mjlol:

i forgot my timeline was off with the ultimate warrior's return. raw won darn near all of those weeks when he came back - even tho he never gets credit for it.

my warrior timeline was off. my bad. and i thought nitro won the 1st battle. i stand corrected on that one.

but everything else is still on-point, along with my overall.

the last comment is what i was getting at, in terms of business/ratings, even tho TNA usually had the better show.

i have most of the ratings on deck in my PWI collections. i don't have to "do research".

i just miscalculated by a couple weeks off the top of my head without checking.. don't sit up here and act like I'm spewing str8 bullchit.

and like i said, vince doesn't acknowledge all of nitro's wins pre-NWO like that, if at all. and he definitely doesn't acknowledge all the ratings from wcw beforehand.

i mean there's no way to measure it but i would say hbk is bigger. more legendary moments and more legendary matches with bigger stars.

HBK is most definitely bigger than HHH. Unfortunately because of the way the WWE re-writes history and with the way HHH basically booked himself from 2002-2006, he'd appear bigger than Michaels to passing/casual viewers. It also doesn't help that HHH is pretty much the face of NXT, the CWC, and is still relatively an active wrestler, which keeps him still in the spotlight.

Not at all. Michaels never had much crossover appeal and isnt really known by non-wrestling fans like that. Macho Man is bigger, so is Warrior, so is Undertaker and even Cena.
All those guys you named are bigger but HBK is still pretty big and he's a huge star in his own right.

I was just responding to someone that said he should have been bigger. I mean all things considered he did alright for himself. No one today with the exception of cena and Brock come close.

I would even add Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns on that list. My dad hasn't watched wrestling with me since the early 2000's and he knows who Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns are.

HBK & HHH are in the same boat really.

and HHH learned most of his dirty ways from HBK breh.
