If I can ask, I'm not doubting HBK's in ring ability but what makes him so much greater to everyone than a lot of the other GOAT ring workers?

Its not like HBK's offense was very realistic or technical, his selling was good but he had a bad tendency to overact often, he never pulled a classic match out of Orton, Cena or Batista. He's an all time great but there isn't' anything he does that I couldn't find just as good in an Eddie Guerrero or a CM Punk

god the early years of the x division was nothing but great match after great match. Dixie ran her company right into the ground

easy to say that in hindsight.

not enough people were supporting the product.

they cant answer that.

the real answer is that HBK is one of those guys that have an inflated legacy, courtesy of the WWE's hype machine.

I know you love to blame the fans for TNA's decline @Wacky D 's obvious alt account but please explain how bringing in Hogan, Bischoff, and friends was supposed to help the company grow? Along with being dumb enough to think they could compete with Monday Night Raw while pushing :flabbynsick: stars over people like AJ Styles?

Imo he was the original heavyweight high flyer. His moves were extremely fluid & crisp no matter who he was in there with. Pulled good-great matches out of everyone.

He was able to play the chicken shyt heel without looking like a fraud ass p*ssy when standing up to Taker/Austin/Tyson/Bret. He knew how to flip that switch with perfection. Look how quick he goes from clowning to getting right in Austin's face

That UK mini-itonman match he had with Cena is definitely one of Cena's best

That's the thing..he's not better than Eddie..Benoit..or Savage. Can't lace Rey's boots from 96 and 97 alone.

This x1000

Nothing but facts that should be recognized more often. That's why you see so many people catapult him onto this untouchable pedestal.

yep.

I feel the same way about bret hart & the undertaker as well.

the Hogan/bischoff move increased TNA's ratings, money, attendance, buzz, profile, etc.

the jump of interest on this very board says it all.

Hogan & bischoff messed up by chasing away the core audience, which is killing them to this day. but if you cant see how they helped the company grow, then youre even more of an idiot than I thought.

Bullshyt, at their height TNA was doing thousands in attendance touring and millions watching on Spike

I didn't say the company was going out of business or anything. BE SMART SON.

TNA was too far under the radar and/or ignored during that time period.

they should've been much bigger than they were. theres still people like Meltzer & them who still refuse to watch the chit.

Wacky D with more of his garbage opinions. :francis:

Bret Hart is all around praised as one of the best technical wrestlers of all time.

Undertaker is one of the best big man workers of this generation.

we already saw bret hart flop in WCW.

undertaker's gimmick is more legendary than he is. and 90% of his "classic" wwf matches wouldn't be considered classics if they occurred in any other promotion.
