I'm talking about true AI. Something aware of its own existence. A machine with the intelligence to self-learn and implement. A machine with the capability to create other machines that behave like it. We're decades upon decades away from that most likely. You and I will long be gone from this planet.

That's pretty metaphysical...especially since you pretty much said everything I already said.

True AI, is still an AI. It will be a program aware of its programming and its parameters.
