It used to be companies bragged about creating jobs, and growing the “economy”. Now it’s the opposite. Companies are actively trying to eliminate jobs. In 50 years it’s going to be worse.

nikkas need to get up on tech asap. I’m learning to code right now. Machine learning and AI. But not to find a new job, but to create passive income by creating a business.

Web development jobs are also going fade away.

AI already replacing developers.

If you think you're lonely now, ohhh girl...
Some of y’all are in SERIOUS denial about what it will mean for the overwhelming majority of jobs and occupations when there is a fukking SUPER INTELLIGENCE in the world. It is 100% coming too. We are probably the last generation of people that will have actually lived without its existence, or remember what it was like before there was a thing that was inconceivably better than humans at everything.

Even the creators were shocked at the mass adoption and how quickly people took to it, these companies will try and use a halfbaked AI to eliminate jobs at a moments notice. I dont see how people can see all of these chips on table, KNOW how these corporations move, see that jobs are already being displaced in YEAR 1 and think like that dog in burning building, everything is fine..

A lot of people are just in wholesale denial. These language learning models we currently have, which are normally really good at one specific task—are childlike compared to what’s coming within the next ten years. Even Chat GPT 4 is significantly smarter than the average person. Imagine Chat GPT 10? That’s before you even get to AGI where you’ll have an incomprehensibly smart AI. One that no human past, present, or future can match in sheer aptitude, intellect, or ability.

This is why i said this if anything should be the wake up call to get out the career rat race and shift to minimialism if possible. You dont wanna be drowning in a high overhead lifestyle with the direction things are going

Ai isn't replacing coders today...it can only assist with redundant stuff like unit test creation....fast lookups and templates.

You still need bodies to get stuff done

It’s unfortunate that some of the brehs aren’t built for trades. Haven’t seen a starving plumber yet.

A friend of mine started his own hvac company. His daughter is the secretary, his 2 sons are his employees and the wife just stays home and keeps house.”
True but I've known and know alot of trades people. They bodies are fukked in the long run.
Lot of those trades terrible on your body.
I'm not scared of ai at all. It's a scare tactic to pay people less

I tell people, you have to imagine when this was introduced, this was the worst we would ever see the product, its only going to get better as time goes on. If this is what they released to public, imagine what is being held back and worked on..

The problem with that formula is whatever it is you have to consider that humans are still building houses and building them wrong/inefficiently. PVC pipes, iron, copper pipes....you can't use certain products with those. So you're always going to have that person, group of people that puts/pours that shyt in there sink, toilet, floor drain and fukks there shyt up.

shyt in my house I have a breaker that's 20amps and my shyt is wired for 15.

There's some shyt computers or ai just can't fukk with and humans are making it more difficult for other humans because we're protecting these industries. There's a lot of certifications, licenses, apprenticeships one has to get to become a plumber or electrician and for good reason but they're growing increasing more difficult. Deciding at 40 you want to become an electrician because you've always liked it and even have skills is pretty much dead.

Part of solutioning or building a product is accounting for potential bottlenecks and edge cases.

Solutioning>>>learning how to code

This lol nikkas saying “coders” or “learn to code”

Them the jobs AI getting out asap.

No you learn to engineer because based on the problem you would then find the relevant tech to use and its impossible nor efficient to “learn every tech”. This is the stuff that gets lotta bootcamp folks in trouble. Remembering syntax doesnt make you an engineer and “programmers” are the roles going away soon/now
