[The Fukin Prophecy]

Gave it a B+ as a start. A lot of good stuff, and as a fan of CW and Rebels, was good to see these characters in live action. Pacing was definitely off which prevented it from being better but solid beginning and looking forward to where it goes.

But come on Dave. The getting run through by a lightsaber AGAIN was so unnecessary. There were numerous ways she could have gotten injured other than that again. It really lessens the impact of lightsaber damage.

ETA: Also wasn't a fan of other things like a prisoner escaping from the NR again. Maybe it would make sense to have Luke or Ahsoka escorting these high priority targets to their destination? More "this object leads to this person/place" ala Force Awakens and Rise of Skywalker and "headstrong young character disobeys direct order from senior person and disaster ensues!!!"

I wonder how much Filoni actually had to do with some of these decisions, just because he's credited doesn't mean the Kennedy Klan didn't override some of his decisions...Favreau has given up and is just collecting his check for this very reason...

Only justification is that the other chick was also frail and petite whereas Maul was a brolic beast. Female light saber fights are probably like female boxing matches. 12 rounds of pitter patter.

Self-fail for the force is female gang.

I don't know, I just don't see it as an egrigous affront as others but I do agree it was Filoni wanting to make it a more dramatic/shocking moment for the sake of it.

The most staggering thing from both episodes for me were the constant shots of Ahsoka delivering a line of dialogue, crossing her arms and doing a pose. If felt very video-gamey.

But it's a nitpick and I can absolutely enjoy the show regardless.

She does it all the time in Rebels. She got that from Anakin who does it alot in the series as well. Ironically theyre the only one who does this. Kinda like Kenobi when he rubs his beard/mustache when in deep thought. IYKYK

Dope lil show so far. Scratches the Star Wars itch.

I wish it wasn’t the industry standard that when someone is experienced/a vet they have to become super stoic and lose all charisma. Ahsoka had personality and Rosario Dawson has charisma so kind of a waste to have her be so dull. Minor gripe though.

Ray Stevenson killing it tho RIP. His character is the most intriguing so far. Shout out to Mrs Obi Wan though

You're joking...but I've actually been kind of wondering about something similar.
In games like "KOTOR" there were different lightsaber power levels. Does something like that still exist in the current canon?

Are all lightsabers the same now (current Disney canon)...or are there different power levels/heat levels/beam width/etc. based on the user and the purpose of the lightsaber?

Do we know whether a "ladies" dueling saber is the same strength as Maul's "staff"-sized double saber? Maybe Sabine was stabbed with the equivalent of Arya's Needle sword from Game of Thrones, as opposed to Qui Gon and Obi Wan's "INSTANTLY DRILL THROUGH MANY INCHES OF SCI FI SUPERMETAL"-lightsabers?

I hear you but this getting stabbed with light sabers and surviving is some Disney bullshyt. There is no way a shard of light passes through your body and you live not even star wars.


Sidenote for those that know Ezra hologram said he looked at Sabine like a sister...but in Rebels he was clearly in love with her and she started feeling the same later on. Big time flaw in the writing

Not even light. That shyt is plasma. Fukking hot af gas. You see the way it cleaves through those heavy ass battle Droids and leaves the remains in a smoking, red hot heap.

People organs would be getting seared if not vaporized from the heat. They ought to take the Halo approach to it, plasma bolt impacts straight up make bodies explode.
