After tonight, numbers should NOT be considered in the HOF case for Dwight Howard.

It's not like the NBA HOF has the highest of standards or anything. He's not an ATG that you will discuss with the likes of Jabbar and Russell and Wilt etc but he's definitely a HOFer based on the precedent that has been set.

I get the competition argument
But by these standards all the o. Gs who played against 6 ft 5 cacs need to get thrown in the bushes as well....

List these OGs and the corresponding 6'5 cacs :jbhmm:.

TYRONE GA!
This is on houston. Dwight Howard has been dominate and their best player the last few years in.the playoffs. They refuse to feed him the ball and on top of houstons guards always getting beat on the perimeter forcing him to help.

Dwight last year in the playoffs earned some respect back for me. He was out there busting his ass.

But there's no excuse to be the 5th/6th option on your team despite his shytty mechanics. That's fukkin rediculous. Firing McHale was dumb as fukk. They should've brought in a good vet leader like David West at the 4 to keep those clowns in check.

I can EASILY see him going to Boston or something. Worst case scenario you get a damn good rebounder and shot blocker despite the declining athleticism.

And yes, he is a HOF lock even though he is a clown with the shyt he's done.

true. even if it were just the nba he'd still make it. .. it's just more more lenient regardless and he's done enough in just his nba years to get in based on the bhof acceptance history.

It's not about leniency, most of the people who are in the basketball hall were damn good and deserving. One can nitpick a bunch of folks who made it in the NFL hall or baseball hall.

Remember that basketball is a much global game than baseball and football, thus their criteria is much different. NFL focuses only in your NFL carrier. Baseball too, I think (correct me if I'm wrong). Because basketball is global, they count everything in your career. Some Basketball HOF never set foot in the NBA. Some barely set foot there too (Sabonis), yet were absolutely deserving when you look at their career stats and accomplishments.

Just a different critical.

It's his own fault that after dominating the Cavs in the 09 playoffs that he didn't decide from that point to be the most dominant big in the league. But even working with cats like Ewing and Dream you can kind of sense that Dwight probably just did it because it's the in thing to do not cause he actually took it and incorporated it into his game.
