Things would change if all black players did this. But we live in a society that worships the individual and leads people to not give a fukk about their fellow man and the greater good. I can guarantee if the top 100 football players started going to black colleges ESPN would have a contract with them they day after signing day.
Bruh, I understand your sentiment, but this is not a case of....."if A happens then B happens". Sorry, it doesnt work like that.
You ever notice how much bigger these most of these players get from high school to college? The big "white" schools have top-notch weight lifting programs, top notch personal trainers, nutritionists, to aid in this. They have top notch training equipment that's computerized, saunas/ice rooms for recovery......all kinds of stuff that's changed even since I was around it at OU. A large majority of this does not exist at HBCU's....now maybe it COULD if like another poster said we prop up maybe 2-3 top HBCU's. But that won't happen.
So in other words, these black players you see currently at Alabama, etc would NOT look like they do if they had gone to HBCU's. They more than likely would not be as good as what you see them develop into.
Also, you got coaches at a school like Alabama, etc with a resume full of players they've sent to the NFL, and with direct NFL coaching experience themselves. They know what a player of his size needs to do, what kinda scheme to put him in to make him his best....in some ways it's a direct pipeline to a future of millions of dollars. All alot of these players have to do is walk a straight line.
But I'll never understand why y'all want these 19 year old kids, many of whom are from underprivileged backgrounds, to choose the lesser of two options and put themselves behind the 8-ball in life FURTHER than they already are. Are y'all gonna take care of them when they don't develop into their full potential?
