If Democrats want to win the White House again, they need to run a straight man who has a family. Someone in their late 40s to mid 50s. Someone center-right. This country rejected two female candidates, so you really think they'll elect a gay man to be president?! :mjlol:
Liberals on social media live in the twilight zone

Im also now a firm believer that majority of these extremely far left posts are done by people not even old enough to vote

Just young impressionable teenagers who know how to engage algorithms with their perfect ideologies

It's going to be Gavin. He's going to be the face of the party, and he needs to be focused on material conditions. He needs to talk about building america's infrastructure, cutting taxes on everyone except the 1%, starting up trade deals that will give americans access to cheaper food and technolgy.

Appealing to Latinos doesn't work.
Appealing to conservative white people doesn't work.
Appealing to white women doesn't work.
Appealing to people's material conditions works.

Trump asked a simple question: Are you better off now than you were when I was president? and the dumbass voting public allowed vibes to dictate their vote and said "as a matter of fact, I'm not! everything costs more now!" and they ignored literally everything he's said and done otherwise and voted for him.

They'll need to win elections at the municipal and state level, and run their state economies well. A financial crisis is coming and if you're a governor who put plans in motion to protect your state, you'll win re-election. If you were extremely good at protecting your state, you'll catch the eye of the party leadership and make national news.

The governor most poised to do that is Gavin Newsom. If he's able to maintain the 5th largest economy in the world, and able to improve affordability for califironians, that signals to the national democratic establishment that his policies and style of government works. He's heterosexual, quick with his words, young, married and has kids. If elections are still possible in 2028, that's their guy.
Gavin would be a great candidate. He’s who I wanted against Trump. He destroyed Desantis and basically ended his career as a national politician. I’m just worried about the baggage of all Californias issues. If California's economy, tax issues, and crime aren’t fixed by then he’s a heavy lift.

Gavin can't win. He's the white male version of kamala in the sense that He's a progressive from california

When are people going to realise that America is very conservative country. The centrist in America are right wingers in most countries in Europe and South America.

Even if some progressive policies are popular across the board like free school lunches for example, A progressive candidate has no chance of winning
The homelessness, high cost of living,"soft on crime","supports open borders" and high taxes in cali won't be popular witht the kind of voters he will need to win over and republicans will have a field day

Newsom '28, book it, it's just the running mate at this point.

Newsom/gretch would be a lock

But I'd probably prefer a
Newsom/john Stewart

Newsom/pete would be trickier - but both elite at talking, Newsom with the American psycho linguistics and pete with the eloquent, I'm smarter than you but will dumb it down for your dumbass but not make you feel dumb angle.

People are pooping in the street, and loading up garbage bags of merchandise in stores in San Francisco, and California has sky high taxes. The right would have a field day with the attacks, and those are valid things to be concerned about.

Democrats have a far left problem. The further the grassroots pushes the party to the left, the more moderates they'll lose. Abortion is a winning issue on a micro level, but abortion can't been the key plank on a national platform. Unlimited immigration, climate change policies, LGBTQ issues are losing issues that the Democrats need to abandon.

Democrats needs to push the Shapiros, Fetterman to the forefront and hell even get Andrew Cuomo back into the fold. Bootyjudge, Newsome, Moore and Whitmer would be a mistake to push to the forefront. Democrats were lost in the sauce from 1980-1991 until Bill Clinton moderated the party in 1992.

Trump attracted moderates and disaffected liberals to the Republican party and kept the neo-cons and evangelicals at bay. This is probably the least conservative the Republican party has been in our lifetimes.

The youth would be gone and you’re not republican enough to get the 5-10% that’ll go back GOP post Trump. Your playbook goes as well as a 1992 playbook in the NFL today.

Newsom will be as right wing as DeSantis by then. He’s already pivoting by getting weak on crime prosecutors out of office

He’s not progressive for one and 2 he’s not Kamala. Dude has legit political chops and can work a room. He’s also quick on his feet. He doesn’t have that same overcalculated fake aura as Hillary and Kamala do.

He’s capable of defending the democrats record and that’s half the battle. Kamala should have defended Bidenomics and touted the good things better.
