wrong on all counts.. nothing militant about my post. "afrobeat being summer white girl music" is a dead ass giveaway that you don't interact with people outside the internet. Ed Sheeran running anyones summer is tragic :deadrose:
Man that nikka don't go outside and I guarantee he's a token.

No disrespect to Rotimi but that sounded like some 2010 R&B with an Afrobeats beat. And that's #1? :wtf:

If I'm looking for an Afrobeats song with a R&B feel that should be #1, then I'll have to go with this:

Should the album get the Lil Nas X treatment, and boosted out that category?

:ehh: Valid point. I think there is an Adult Contemporary R&B category, where some of the more traditional and older R&B artist are likely placed.

Yeah. In some ways yes.
I'd say this was the opposite of the Nas X shyt.

they lumping shyt together for a reason but with the cac shyt they want to distinguish and separate.

the truth is in the intentions.

In the Silver Lining
The hip hop stations in New York play "Fall" like 3 times an hour

Oh really...:wow:....we in a new era right now....

you better get use to it.

Afrobeat is more popular than r&b worldwide
. It's only a matter of time before it overtakes r&b over here:sas2:

btw, I don't even consider this Rotimi dude Afrobeats

:patrice: I can't see it overtsking R&B in the U.S. for maybe 20 - 25 years, but no doubt Afrobeats is here to stay....can't think of any reason why it would become less popular. It use to be American/African American culture was being delivered to other places, but now other places cultures are influencing the U.S., I think it's Africa's moment on the music end.
