the ether
:mjcry: all of those influencers that made money off poor black people are going to be burning in hell if there's one.

There were all these beautiful claims about how "new media" was going to bring a new era in open information and free the consumer, but in reality it just proved that the average American when given no restrictions and any power at all will push absolutely any bullshyt claim for personal gain.

Munger warned yall...

I have some money in crypto but never went all in because the end was obvious. Sure if you got into bitcoin super early and sold at the right time you'd be set for life. But most people didn't invest until it was too high. Investment shouldn't be a get rich scheme or fad. End of the day index funds and EFTs will always be the smart play. Long term.

I warned folks :snoop:

I dropped a little bit in but nothing crazy...a little bite from my tax return a few years back

That's it.

I wish I would have held on to the BTC I had back in 2012, I'd be chillin right now, no lie

But even back then I was like yo....this is for trading not for investing. And once it was insinuated that the Feds got past that whole privacy thing, it was like ehhhhhhhh

new media is probably still a good thing overall.
there just doesnt seem to be a great system or great way to highlight when things are absolutely un-factual or intentionally misleading.
if people dont have the ability to discern for themselves whats BS or not they easily get caught up in the finesse

call that darwinism if you want. either way, its a dirty game
