Black americans don't have a home or place in any african nation, because those inhibitants aren't OUR PEOPLE. They have their own tribes, customs, languages. We aren't them and they aren't us, africa is their home.

Have you ever traveled outside the US? Have you ever been to Africa? There's an AA breh on this site that had a whole thread talking about going to South Africa for work and he had a goddamn ball. Africa is more welcoming than I think alot of people on this board would assume.

Speaking as a black man born and raised in america (with african parents) this is a difficult place to call home man. You might be surprised if you travel a little and find that you're more welcome elsewhere as long as you come through showing love and respect. But to each his own.

As someone who use to go hard on Caribs/Africans I realize now it’s all childish. All this anti African/Carib talk on the coli got me feeling a certain way.

Likeminded AA not the link up with likeminded Caribs/Africans all these petty squabbles are silly.

Respect. My parents are from South Africa but I was born and raised in the US. I'm more american than I am african in alot of ways just from being here all my life, and best friends since high school/college are AA, from the islands and from the continent respectively.

I get the sentiment that AADOS got certain customs and shyt that are distinct, that's all good, that's to be celebrated. And as far as that "reparations" argument I respect that too, I wouldn't be in line for that. But the constant "afric00n" petty shyt and this talk like africans are only over here exploiting the culture and running behing the white man, man what? Some of y'all are on some weirdo shyt.

But anyway, seeing all this shyt bubbling up online is funny but I'm not surprised. As a youth growing up some folks fukked with me and some I could tell didn't just off my "funny" name. It's all good tho. I got nothing but love to everybody that shows love, fukk the rest of y'all

One the things that complicates the matter is that Caribbean and continental Africans have been here for decades, growing up with, attending school with, dating, marrying and having children with AAs and each other. This is well known and commonplace in NYC metro and other big cities. Exchanging cultures. ....blending families

I grew up in the northeast here, so perhaps I just mistakenly thought that this was the case in other places. I assumed that everybody here had at LEAST one Caribbean or African relative by marriage.
