So say that, lol.. It's a "fukk them NY nikkas" thing. Yeen' gotta play the AA card and front like u care about our people.
DC is not bigger than Atlanta, has a smaller Black population than Atlanta yet still has a higher rate of Black owned business than Atlanta. The same can be said for Baltimore.

As far as political power, Black people in NYC have been able to effectuate broader levels of change on a national level (See: The stop put on Stop & Frisk by a federal judge off the strength of Black NYC politicians like Jumaane Williams and Hakeem Jefferies who lobbied against it... Recall that Stop & Frisk has been destructive to AA's in CHICAGO aswell.) . Blacks in NYC are a vocal and powerful force in general elections.. I really can't speak on how Black people are able to effectuate change in Atlanta, but with gentrification looming, I imagine it's negligible.

Atlanta having a Black mayor means very little when the level of income inequality remain static, keeping Blacks down. + Atlanta has one of (If not THE) the highest rates of us killing eachother. Blacks have the lowest quantifiable income levels in Atlanta (Wheras in Queens, Blacks make more than whites, same thing in PGC.),.. That's the "there's a black president tho!" talking point of 2009.

but iight tho broski, I see where you coming at it from so i'ma tip my hat.

Some of these coli negroes just love to here themselves talk.

Exclusively? No, of course not.

Predominately rooted in the South? Yes, undoubtedly.

Honest question, in 2017 are there still alot of people in NY around with purely uncut northern AA roots? I'm sure its possible but I'd imagine it would be pretty rare in this generation, and those still around would be a much much older, yet fading generation.
Definitely. A lotta dudes you come across in NY who whole family are from upstate (Albany, Rochester in particular) descend directly from them plantations. The same can be said about the Indian reservations on Long Island (Shinnecock had they pow wow literally today.) these are largely black people who were slaves right here in New York and came directly off them plantations in New York. In NYC the majority of Blacks are probably "cut" as you'd say, but it's always been like that.

The issue of people aside, though.. It's more a matter of experience, there are significant cultural markers for Blacks in NY that are independent of the South.

Georgia as a state has the most Black businesses in America

NYC is losing Black businesses

wtf are you talking about? :dwillhuh:

The city of Atlanta became a major metropolis from a backwater thanks to the efforts of the Atlanta political class....I'm gonna say that is much more major than stop n frisk :dwillhuh:

Ever heard of cost of living?:dwillhuh:

Cities=\=states... Me and the brother were talking about NYC versus Atlanta with regard to black entrepreneurship.. fukk is YOU talking about?

The city of Atlanta becoming a major metropolis from backwater or w.e u just said is a great Lifetime story. Putting a halt to an inherently racist policing strategy that endangers black lives helps Black people...Atlanta becoming a big city (it's always been big but w.e) benefits the minority who own most of the business there.

Cost of Living does not speak to why Black people in Queens make more than White people do... I have no idea what you were trying to say there.

I would expect a city with a much larger Black population to have more Black businesses but you want to compare PERCENTAGES and if business ownership decreased/increased since a decade? I doubt you do :russ:

Dumbest thing I've read today :dead:

Yes bro, Atlanta going from a country town to a hub where Black folks could become middle class en masse is just a lifetime story :dead:

Where are you getting your information from because......https://statisticalatlas.com/county/New-York/Queens-County/Household-Income

It has nothing to do with hating NYC. I LOVE NYC and always defended it from some of these clowns from here. Dont you remember that thread?

But fact is while NYC has a very large black population the black population does not politically dominate. Large percentage doesn't mean anything. Ferguson told us that.

No one said blacks in NYC dominate politically.
but this

"Blacks in NY have no real pull in that city whatsoever."

is wrong.

No one said blacks do not have a political pull but its not an extremely powerful one like some in this thread are saying.
i don't see anyone saying that

"Blacks in NYC are a vocal and powerful force in general elections.":hula: "Blacks in NY have no real pull in that city whatsoever."

which is a correct statement:usure:

Cook county has more black business than anyone and NYC and DC are bigger than Atlanta, economically and politically, they don't hold a candle to Atlanta. And lol, hell nah. The east hasn't been culturally relevant for a while and DC is okay but Blacks in NY have no real pull in that city whatsoever. Atlanta hasn't had a non black mayor in literally decades, blacks might as well be a non factor in NY judging by the way NYPD puts in that work and judging by AA's taking they ass right back to the south when shyt got tough up there.
No one even said the latter. So I don't know what you're getting at.
