Poitier, shut up on Igbos in Nigeria. The circumstances is dire and you have to literally be there and network with people there to understand how as a collective, they are oppressed. That doesn't mean individuals don't have success but it's not the collective for sure.

That being said, Mensa, the data about Black Igbos in America is disingenuous at best. It don't mean nothing. It's not creating any real wealth and there isn't a collective to where this will exist in the next 50 years. So it's just data. They aren't DoS. They really aren't different than Indians or Asians with the exception of being Black. It's the reason why they stay in school longer but they are immigrants with a home, Blacks aren't. And more than that. They haven't been through Jim Crow, chattel slavery, redlining or segregation. If you onlu knew it took Blacks 20 years to catch whites in education after slavery ended then you realize what is happening today is systematically enacted. Both of y'all need to fall back and that say that respectfully as I respect you two in terms of mindset.

Folks can call Africans c00ns, that's fine...that is their opinion...it holds no power and no weight except to themselves.
Most people who speak in such negatives of the African continent generally have never traveled outside their own countries, so whatever fantasies or ideas they might(which they have a right to have) is baseless. To be frank Many African countries face issues, many African countries are doing very well..many are improving, many are getting worse. There is one common principle...the problems in an environment can only be fixed by those who live in that environment, not by outsiders who have little to no understanding. In the same vain i don't expect Africans to tell an African american how to overcome his or her issues... Africa's Problems can only be fixed by africans.....Namibia by Namibians, Nigeria by Nigerians etc...

The funny thing is, as folks argue on here i know many African Americans who have taken the time and made visits and are planning to settle and integrate, do their part to make a difference..I know those who have gone tried to settle down...and came right bacl cuz it wasn't what they thought it would be. I know those who have settled and are loving life....to each their own.

In regards to those who hate Africans, dear Africans i have to ask you...why care? as the saying goes in Nigeria..How does this affect the Price of Garri? Since when did africans (Nigerians especially) care about the opinions of others?

Many of the pre-independence Igbos leaders attended HBCUs(Black Universities) or were influenced by AA activism. Jim Crow America was very different, without the help of AAs they wouldn't have found a place to live. Azikiwe, Ojike, do the googles.
