no obama official has adequately explained the real, everyday impact and that's a massive failure. the whole system of implementation is going to be a real headache - glad i don't have a small biz

One of these days, I'm going to hit up one of my friends that still works on the Hill and walk step by step through some legislation over a span of 3 months with you guys on this board who believe that "talking" is enough. The circular arguments are astounding, "Obama won't even say anything, he's a coward.....(after Obama goes all across the country pumping the job bill to no avail)...All Obama does is talk, where is the action..." :ld: At some point next year, I don't have the time now, but I have to do a write up like in March on healthcare in the United States. People seem incredibly uninformed. The insinuation that most people will be paying more under this healthcare plan is :snoop:. Maybe in an absolute sense seeing how costs go up every year, but otherwise :smh:

Actually, as a starting point towards tracking what the legislation does follow this timeline: Deloitte | The Affordable Care Act Timeline | Center For Health Solutions

tru mac can probably fill you all in about the logistics of it all better than I can.

Obamacare: Is a $2,000 deductible 'affordable?' - Jun. 13, 2013

The poor folks either have to find 2K somewhere in California or take a fine :obama3: I will let you guess which decision they will make...:rudy:

Liberal Utopia plan will crush and burn infront of our eyes.

Don't say we didn't warn you.

:pacspit::obama: care

That's the point. It's the same strategy used over and over again. They'll say, "See? It didn't work because it wasn't enough. We need to do more of what's not working, full implementation to see the results we promised. :troll:" Then they'll get the plan they wanted in the beginning. :roger:

Kind of disappointing that people are just regurgitating FOX news talking points, but I'm not surprised. :smh:

I'm not even really a fan of the ACA (single-payer would be way better, even though it's not politically feasible) but people are straight up uninformed.

Yeah until you have an acute illness that requires state of the art care to treat. Everyone boasts about Canada, but I see patients from Canada pay out of pocket to have a procedure in the USA. Break a leg in Canada that requires surgery to repair and see how long you sit at home waiting.

breh, it depends on where you live in canada. if you ever talked with a canadian bout this subject, you'd know.

and if they love our healthcare system so much why don't they move here? the trend is for americans to move there, bruh.

ok so if my understanding on the logic behind "The high cost of health care" in America is correct it is that way because of the massive droves of people who rack up huge medical bills and can't pay them. IF that is in fact the case (which i never really bought in the first place) then initially this will stung, but over time (:rolleyes:) hospitals and such will not have to bill out so high to cover their cost because the bills will get paid right?

Am i understanding that correctly?

IF that's the case then the initial sting would be worthwhile, the issue and problem is that you'll never get hospitals to not bill that high. Just like gas, once the price goes up it stays that way.
