They did 1.1 million for the first week, and 1 million, 6000 the second week
To spin this as anything but a huge win for AEW means you are biased, a moron, or most probably both. But I guess the hate watchers know better than TNT. 
I like AEW and didn't even think they'd do this well. It was a great show, but they had all year to write it. Hopefully they can continue to produce quality under the weekly grind. God knows WWE can't.

1.4 mil is good, especially up against NXT. Anything a mil or over for them would have been a success. They got to really try keep it a mil or over and grow it. If they grow it steadily and consistently they could become competition 1 day at least ratings wise.

All i can say is, it was a good look.
When random ppl watch on tv and they see the crowd popping for wrestlers, it makes them feel like what they're watching is already somewhat established, and they're just outta the loop. It makes you more intrigued than say a bunch of new wrestlers coming out to crowd indifference
Its like when I first watched ecw. The crowd was passionate but I didn't know most of the wrestlers. But it made me curious like I needed to get in on it

NXT so it’s an easy choice for me. I’m just not about to pretend a 0.7 rating for a wrestling show is impressive. Didn’t they (NXT) do like a 1.3 in their USA debut 2 weeks ago? They got a long way to go brehs, but do y’all thing. It’s all love

Does anyone remember if Impact regularly beat ECW on Sci Fi or vice versa? They weren't head-to-head but this feels similar to that battle, especially after they got rid of the ECW originals and starting calling people up to ECW.
