AEW Revolution 3/5/2023: Can MJF go 60 minutes? How many gallons will Moxley bleed? Does Starks vs. JAS finally come to an end?

At a popular rooftop bar in SF and realized that most of the wrestlers are here. Willow, Anna jay, zombie Christian, Hobbs in the lobby, etc, it’s pretty cool.

Bartender is a watcher of wrestling and told me that they’re all staying here, lowkey feel weird because they know I watch wrestling due to my stone cold shirt, so I’m staying silent lol

Weirdest part of the match to me was Danielson never going for the kicks in the head. The whole point of the match was MJF having to show he could hang in the last minutes. He was crying vs Dragon laughing, he survived almost two minutes with a "destroyed knee" to get the draw. Then survived a busaiku knee in OT and finally he wins as clean as someone like him could win...but he never showed he had enough to avoid getting his head kicked in. It was kinda right there and they didn't do it

He's crossed a threshold. The "I don't want to be the guy I just want to help" thing, in my opinion, began to hurt last night. Since this is a performance art, and people generally want to see the best performers in the best positions, he can't keep on completely out-performing people....and then just rolling over clean at the end.

That's literally what WWE booked him to do and it created the environment where people resented whoever it was he was working with

This one especially, as MJF is awful. This desperately needed to be a Cena/Orton spectacular but instead we got a very bad 30 minute match and then it kept going.

That was a really great PPV, didn’t have big expectations going in but it delivered

Honestly this PPV was worth paying for

It's crazy with AEW that sometimes their Meh cards overdeliver and the ones that look great on paper underwhelm. The one thing TK got right for the most part is having the right people win (and yes Danielstans, Danielson losing to MJF tonight was the correct decision. On no planet does making Danielson champ help MJF's long-term prospects). The lone exception being....

I really hope Wadrlow just talking and Hobbs takes the belt Wednesday. Throwing Hobbs into the TNT title picture only to eat pins, sucks.

There were no winners with this match. Wardlow got his comeuppance on Joe, but TK now has to decide between jobbing Wardlow out after a few days and hot potatoing the TNT title again or Hobbs losing the match and his momentum after a big win in his hometown and this match still taking place in Northern Cali.

Also, someone needs to sit MJF's ass down and talk with him about interacting with kids. Dude's gimmick is being an a$$hole, but if you're going to interact with a kid, needs to be a plant so they're at least expecting it. If he wants to go over to WWE, he can't be doing that kind of stuff.
